PR Sample/Purchased By Me

Sorry about the lack of posts these past 2 weeks. I took a little time off to spend with my family. In fact this will be my last post of the year. I will return to my regular schedule starting January 2nd. I’m working on so many things and have quite a few posts lined up.

I wanted to end the year with a bit of a roundup. While a favorites of the year post is nothing new to many of you, it’s very new around here. I don’t usually do roundups or favorites posts. But this year has been pretty great beauty-wise. There were quite a few products that have wowed me and made it to my favorites list. So here are my 2016 favorites! I tried to narrow it down to my top 10 (in no particular order), but added a few extras at the end.

Chuda Healing Hydrating Cream

Chuda Healing Hydrating Cream
This cream has quickly become a favorite. While it’s not something I turn to for daily use, it’s still a favorite. Any time my skin dries up I whip this cream out and apply it before bed. By morning my skin feels more hydrated with no visible dry patches. If I have to take photographs I always make sure to use this cream the night before. It’s not the most comfortable feeling face cream, but it works wonders for dry skin! And it truly does leave me with a fresh smooth base come morning.

It Cosmetics You Sculpted Contour Palette

It Cosmetics You Sculpted Contour Palette
This contour palette was a favorite from the very beginning. It’s one of the easiest contour palettes I’ve worked with. It applies and blends beautifully. I love that I can easily create a more natural looking contoured look with it. It also contains 2 highlighters in matte and shimmer. So you get the best of both worlds!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette
This is hands down my most favorite/reached for palette of the year! I love the combination of neutral and berry tones. And the quality of the shadows is everything I expected it to be and more!

ColourPop Hello Kitty Collection

ColourPop Hello Kitty Collection
I have a lot of issues with ColourPop and I will get around to speaking my mind on the topic. But I have to set my personal issues aside and be completely honest. This is one of the most exciting collections of the year for me. I really feel like it was nicely done. The packaging is simple, but super cute! And the shades were as colorful and sparkly as I’d expect it to be. I can’t even tell you how bummed I am to learn that they added more to this collection after I decided to ban them for life. Because I would have been all over it!

Wet n Wild Autumn Lush Collection

Wet n Wild Autumn Lush Collection
Is it just me or was Wet n Wild on a roll this year? I usually feel like their products are very hit or miss, but this year they really brought on the hits! This collection was a definite hit! The Coloricon Matte Liquid Lipsticks were pretty awesome. Well, most of them were. But the Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio in Velour Vixen is what really wowed me! I was really impressed with the quality of the shadows and the look I created with them is easily one of my favorites of the year.

It Cosmetics Holiday 2016 Collection

It Cosmetics Holiday 2016 Collection
Picking a favorite holiday collection is really difficult because there were so many great releases this year. But the 2 brush sets from the It Cosmetics Holiday 2016 Collection stand out the most. They’re all kinds of glamorous and the brushes are amazing quality!

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
This mask is a little on the messy side, but it’s an amazing mask! It gently exfoliates my skin as I wash it off leaving me with incredibly smooth skin. It has a bit of a cooling sensation which always leaves my skin feeling so refreshed.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection
This is another one of my most reached for products of the year. The blushes and highlighters are beautiful! And so is the packaging! I’m so glad that I skipped the first Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Collection because this one is so much nicer! 3 beautiful blushes and 2 beautiful highlighters all wrapped up in an equally beautiful package.

Dani X ittse The Lotus Collection

Dani X ittse The Lotus Collection
Even though I just received this beauty, I feel like it deserves to be here on this list. It’s a gorgeous collection and you can just tell that a lot of thought was put into it. The shadows are beautiful and unlike anything else in my collection. And the quality of the shadows really took me by surprise. They’re so pigmented! And sparkly! And wow!

Derma E Purifying Collection

Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser
When I first reviewed the Derma E Purifying Collection I mentioned that the 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask was my favorite of the bunch. While I do still love the mask, I find myself reaching for this cleanser more than anything. It does a great job at removing my makeup, is fragrance free, and gentle on my sensitive skin. I’m really digging Derma E’s skincare products. It’s really difficult finding products that play nice with sensitive skin and I find that their more natural approach is gentle enough for me to use.

There were a few more products that wowed me this year. And they also happen to be items I find myself reaching for quite often. The Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color was a really nice find. They really surprised me with their fun shades and comfortable wear. And they only cost $4.99!

The IPKN Moist & Firm Beauty Balm is easily one of the better items I’ve received in my Bichboxes this year. I don’t really care much for BB Creams, but this one really surprised me. There aren’t many shades to choose from, but the shade I received was a good match for me. I love the way it looks and feels on my skin. It does a great job at covering imperfections and evening out my skin. All while feeling incredibly lightweight!

The It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment is easily the most effective lip balm I’ve ever used. It’s a nice thick formula, but doesn’t feel heavy or tacky. It’s incredibly moisturizing and lasts forever and a day! No kidding. When I apply this at night it’s still there come morning. Another huge plus is that it doesn’t have a strong scent. I do detect a faint scent, but it’s pleasant and not at all bothersome. I’m also digging the cute pink packaging.

And last, but certainly not least is my personalized fragrance thanks to Fragrance By Me. I was really impressed with the concept of creating your own fragrance as well as the end result. I finally received my personalized bottle which I will be sharing very soon!

There you have it! My 2016 favorites! What are some of your favorites from this year?

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year! <3
