Swatches: Save It For Later, Big Spoon, T-Cup, Imperial, Never Never

I feel like I haven’t posted a lot of ColourPop this year. I still have my issues with them, but I caved and made several purchases. Not all of them made it to the blog though. I used to be so excited about my ColourPop orders and couldn’t wait to photograph and blog about my new goodies. I guess things change when the majority of your orders arrive damaged. Thankfully that wasn’t the case with this palette because for the first time in a long time I was excited to post about my ColourPop order.

The All I See Is Magic palette contains 15 eyeshadows.

  • Go Wish – Pastel Peach (matte)
  • Now and Zen – Pale Yellow Gold (metallic)
  • 11:11 – Rose Gold With Silver Glitter (metallic)
  • Treat Yourself – True Ivory (satin)
  • Top Notch – Terracotta Brown (matte)
  • Tinsel Town – Cranberry (matte)
  • Twinkle Toes – Black Gold (metallic)
  • Something Special – Deep Maroon With Purple Glitter (metallic)
  • Wishful Winking – Warm Brown With Teal Duochrome Flip (metallic)
  • Pitter Patter – Rosy Copper With Gold Flecks (metallic)
  • Save It For Later – Amber (metallic)
  • Big Spoon – Pastel Coral (matte)
  • T-Cup – Warm Dusty Taupe (matte)
  • Imperial – Soft Red Orange (matte)
  • Never Never – Dark Chocolate With Multi Dimensional Glitter (metallic)

The colors in this palette really called to me. Those jewel tones get me every time! I just knew it would make for the most colorful holiday look. And ColourPop didn’t disappoint! The shadows were all nicely pigmented. Those metallics glide onto my hand like butter! I found that they applied much better when you gently pat them onto your lid using a dampened brush.

I have to say that this is probably one of my favorite ColourPop palettes. Aside from the shadows being nicely pigmented, they blended beautifully. I’m also loving the shades. While a lot of these scream bold, you could just as easily create a pretty neutral look. I can especially see this making for some nice holiday looks though. You can see a look I created with the All I See Is Magic Palette below.

Overall, I’d have to say this is a must have palette for any ColourPop fan. I kind of cringe when I say that because of how dirty they’ve done me. But I do love their products. And this palette is high up on my list! Have you purchased this palette? If not, what is your favorite ColourPop palette?

Swatches: Heavy Glam, Chic Happens, Lit, Razy

I really can’t stay away from those ColourPop pressed shadows! So far I’ve purchased 3 of their quad palettes and a handful of their single shadows. I ended up transferring all of the pans into a few of their medium sized palettes. But that’s a post for another time. Right now I’m going to talk about $aucey!

$aucey is from ColourPop’s ILUVSARAHII Collection. $aucey contains 4 of their pressed shadows in the shades Heavy Glam which is a vibrant duochrome orange with a pink flip. Chic Happens which is a matte cool mauve. Lit which is a vibrant metallic purple. And Razy which is a matte blackened plum.

The mattes are a little hard compared to the metallics which are so soft they’re almost buttery. But they’re still very easy to work with and very pigmented. They all applied and blended beautifully. Razy can be a little tricky to work with so maybe use a light hand at first and apply more as needed. I went in a little heavy at first and had to wipe it off and start over. It went much smoother the second time around using a light hand and applying more as needed.

The shades included in this palette all compliment each other nicely and made for a beautiful look. I did have to reach for another palette for a highlight shade, but it wasn’t an issue for me. If you were planning to take this on a trip you could always remove one of the pans and replace it with another.

This palette is still in stock and on sale for just $12.00! That makes the shadows just $3.00 each! You really can’t beat that! You can see a look I created with $aucey below.

Swatches: Take a Break, Issues, Centerfold, Slim Fit

Ok so remember when I was all ‘Death to ColourPop?’ Well, that lasted about 2 months. Just after I decided to ban them they came out with their new pressed shadows. My friend ordered a bunch and kept telling me how I had to stop being so stubborn and place an order. I was very tempted, but I stood my ground. Then their Valentine’s Day promo photos started making their rounds on Instagram and I knew I had to swallow my pride and get myself a little something. I did and have been ordering from them since. I still have to post about the Valentine’s Day stuff I got, but for now I want to talk about some of their other pressed shadows. Like the Blow Me Away Pressed Powder Shadow Palette. For the record, I do still hate them. But my love for makeup is much stronger. And that’s where I’m at right now.

ColourPop Blow Me Away Palette

Blow Me Away contains 4 pressed shadows in the shades Take a Break which is a duochrome peach with a subtle gold flip, Issues which is a matte pastel peach, Centerfold which is a matte vibrant coral, and Slim Fit which is a matte hot red coral. The palette itself is a cute white cardboard box with a slim window in the front revealing the shadows. The box is covered in lots of silver stars and tucked inside a bright orange cardboard sleeve.

I’m digging the fun, Summer friendly shades. They all applied and blended beautifully. Even the matte shades surprisingly. I did end up using another darker shade from another palette to balance out all of the coral and peach tones. But it all still makes for a super cute look.

I’d like to note that the shades Centerfold and Slim Fit are not intended for use in the immediate eye area. I wish I had known that before applying Slim Fit on my lower lash line. I just know some of that got in my eye. I’ll probably overthink that one of these nights I’m trying to go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

I’ll definitely purchase more of their pressed products. I’d like to see them offer some larger palettes so that we could build our own palettes in one place. In the meantime I got myself a MAC palette to store all of my ColourPop shadows. I can probably fill it up already. For $5 a pop you really can’t go wrong. Some shades are even on sale for $4! I’d definitely pop in and take a look. But be careful with their shipping. I guess with ColourPop it’s a risk we all take. One can only hope that they start putting more effort into their customer service in the near future.

You can see a look I created with the Blow Me Away Pressed Powder Shadow Palette below. I applied Take a Break on my lid, Centerfold in my inner crease, and Slim Fit in my outer crease and on my lower lash line (lightly).

Note: Remember when I talked about those beautiful It Cosmetics Confidence In Your Glow Palettes? I’m wearing Instant Nude Glow in the photos above! Those palettes are gorgeous and I highly suggest testing them out if you spot them at your local Ulta!

ColourPop now offers larger palettes! I’ve already ordered a few and will post about it soon!
