Remember when I was complaining about missing out on the Ooh La La! Palette? I finally got it and at a great price too! Sometime last week one of my friends was talking about placing yet another ColourPop order. She has a serious problem haha! I suggested she wait because they should be coming out with their Holiday Collection soon. And sure enough the very next day they mentioned it on their Instagram. So when I placed my holiday order I scooped up the Ooh La La! Palette for just $9.60! Talk about luck.

This palette is definitely my new favorite from ColourPop. I love all of the pinks and purples. They compliment each other beautifully! It’s a nice balance of mattes and metallics. They are all incredibly pigmented. They apply and blend beautifully. At first glance it might seem like there aren’t many color combinations you can use, but that’s not the case at all. I’ve already created quite a few looks. It’s definitely more on the bold side, but it can just as easily be toned down a bit.

My first time using the palette I decided to attempt a cut crease. I don’t know why especially since it’s something that has never worked for me in the past. However, I felt like I did much better this time around. I first posted a look on my Instagram stories and joked how I wouldn’t be able to replicate it again for the blog. Thankfully that wasn’t the case. I really love how my look turned out. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s much better than my hundreds of failed attempts. I actually feel comfortable sharing this one. You can see my look below.

For this look I used Soft Core and Poodle in my crease, Caddy to darken my crease, Tickled on my lid and inner corner of my eye with a dampened brush, and another shade from another palette for my brow bone. I used a combination of Caddy and Poodle for my lower lash line.

I decided to share another more wearable look. For this one I used Soft Core and Poodle in my crease, Trove on my outer crease/lid and lower lash line, Moon Struck on my lid, Tickled on the inner corner of my eye, and another shade from another palette for my brow bone.

ColourPop Ooh La La! Palette

Overall, I’d have to say this palette is great! I absolutely love it and I’m so happy I was able to finally add it to my collection. As far as palettes go this is definitely high up on my favorites list. In fact you might just hear about it again in my 2018 Favorites.

Have you tried the Ooh La La! Palette? Did you purchase anything from ColourPop’s Holiday Collection?

Swatch

You know what my problem is with ColourPop? They come out with new stuff so often that I find myself waiting before placing an order. Because I just know that as soon as I place my order something new and even more exciting will be released right after. Like when I ordered the Give It To Me Straight Palette and then like a week later they released the Ooh La La! Palette. Which is currently sold out so it looks like I missed out on that one. This happens to me all the time!

I did manage to scoop up the Ultra Matte Lipstick in Shay Day when I ordered the Give It To Me Straight Palette. So at least I didn’t miss out on that. This lipstick is part of a collaboration between Shayla and ColourPop. I have no idea who Shayla is, but the lipstick and packaging is gorgeous and for that I needed to make it mine. That and I thought it would compliment the palette nicely.

Shay Day is described as a vibrant violet. Like many of my other Ultra Matte Lipsticks it applied nicely and evenly. It was a tad drying, but it wasn’t bothersome. For the most part it did make for a comfortable wear. It’s very pretty and perfect for Fall. You can see Shay Day in action below.

Shay Day also comes in a lip bundle along with another Ultra Matte Lip and an Ultra Glossy Lip. I had shades similar to both so I just settled on Shay Day. However, it’s a really cute bundle so if you don’t already have similar shades it’s definitely worth checking out.

Swatches: Atole, Coquette

Now for the piece I title “Stuff I purchased forever ago and never blogged.’ On the bright side it’s still available on the ColourPop website.

I believe I purchased these 2 sometime last year. Most likely around the same time I ordered the Pressed Powder Shadow Palette in $aucey. I probably should have blogged them all together, but back then I made things extremely difficult for myself and felt the need to blog each item from collections separately. Anyway, here’s the rest of the ColourPop X iluvsarahii Collection (the items I purchased anyway). Over a year later.

ColourPop X iluvsarahii Collection

Ultra Glossy Lip in Atole
The Ultra Glossy Lip in Atole is a metallic gold with a pink shift. This was my first ever Ultra Glossy Lip and I love it! It’s not sticky and feels very comfortable. It’s not the most lasting, but I don’t know of many glosses that are. It’s very easy to touch up though so I don’t mind the short wear time. On the days I don’t feel like fussing over what lipstick to wear I reach for Atole.

Ultra Metallic Lip in Coquette
The Ultra Metallic Lip in Coquette is a rich merlot. This shade is gorgeous and perfect for Fall and the upcoming holiday season. It applied beautifully and made for a comfortable wear. It’s a very bold lipstick and the metallic makes it stand out that much more. I really love their Ultra Metallic Lip and Coquette is a perfect example of why. Just look at it!

ColourPop X iluvsarahii Collection

I don’t really know much about iluvsarahii, but this collection is a winner in my book. The packaging is really pretty and the products are great!

Have you purchased anything from the ColourPop X iluvsarahii Collection? I’m betting if you did you blogged it last year along with the rest of the beauty community.
