It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

It Cosmetics are always outdoing themselves. Quite a few of their products are staples in my skin care and makeup routine. I’m really digging their Confidence line. Their Confidence in a Cream is amazing! And their Confidence in a Compact also wowed me last month. So when a package containing another one of their Confidence products landed on my doorstep last week, I may or may not have ripped it open. Oops?

Just in time for Daylight Saving Time! The Confidence in an Eye Cream contains caffeine to reduce the look of puffiness and instantly make tired eyes look more awake! And let me tell you, I can use all the help I can get these days!

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream is formulated with proprietary anti-aging armour rejuvenating concentrate plus ceramides to restore. Chrysin to help reduce the appearance of inflammation. Peptides and collagen to smooth the look of lines and wrinkles. Avocado to nourish. Hyaluronic acid and squalane for powerful hydration. Licorice for visible brightening. And caffeine to reduce the look of puffiness.

This wonderful eye cream claims to brighten, repair, and transform the look of your entire eye area. It also claims to be suitable or all skin types. It promises powerful anti-aging results immediately with more dramatic results over time.

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

Here are my thoughts so far. The cream is a pale pink color and very thick and creamy. I didn’t detect a scent which is a huge plus. My only issue with the Confidence in a Cream is the strong scent which lingers for some time. I continue to use it because it works. Thankfully the eye cream doesn’t contain that same scent. I noticed that my eye area did in fact look brighter and more lively. I was actually quite amazed because my eyes have been looking awful lately. Nothing seemed to brighten them up and make me look less like a Walking Dead extra. The Confidence in an Eye Cream brightened them up within minutes! I can’t say much about the fine lines and wrinkles because I’ve only just started using the cream. But my eye area is nicely moisturized and the cream did brighten the area up making me look more awake. It also helped with the puffiness.

You can purchase this wonderful cream from It Cosmetics for $38.00. They currently only ship within the US. It’s also available at Ulta (in stores and online).

I’m not one to tell people what they need in their lives. But if you can get your hands on a sample of this eye cream, TRY IT! Your tired eyes will thank you for it!

*A little side note: I know things have been a little slow around here lately. I’m in the process of moving. I have a little catching up to do, but things should be running smoothly during the moving process. I’ll still be able to catch up on blogs, but it’ll take me some time to make my way through them all. I promise to catch up this week! Thank you for understanding!

I’m very picky when it comes to foundation. In fact I only have a handful in my tool box. I’m always excited to try a new foundation, but the chances of me loving it or even liking it are usually pretty slim. Sometimes it’s a love at first try. Others it takes a little getting used to. Remember that Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation? I loved it! But it didn’t agree with my skin. I ended up giving it another try and paired it with a different primer and didn’t experience any irritation afterward! If it’s something I really like you better believe I’ll keep trying. But it doesn’t always end on a positive note.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact

It Cosmetics products have never caused me any irritation. So I was pretty excited to dig into their new Confidence in a Compact. Have you heard about this? It’s their new full coverage solid serum foundation. This solid serum foundation contains anti-aging hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, scalene, antioxidants, and a super ceramide cream that is said to transform your complexion. And it’s SPF 50+. It also claims to be suitable for even the most sensitive skin. I can tell you right now that this is true. At least for me. I can’t say much about the anti-aging claims because I’ve only just started using the foundation. But so far I’m very impressed.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact

To apply they suggest swirling your brush or the included sponge into the compact. I actually used my fingers and dabbed a bit all over my face. Then I blended it out with the It Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush #704. I’ve also tried blending it out with my BeautyBlender with some really nice results. However, the BeautyBlender does kind of water it down a bit. The brush definitely supplies a nice full coverage look. They say a little goes a long way and it really does. So keep that in mind.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact

Overall, the application was very easy. To me it doesn’t feel like most full coverage foundations I’ve tried. I usually stay away from full coverage because I find them to be too heavy for me. The Confidence in a Compact didn’t feel heavy at all! It was surprisingly lightweight. I had to build up a bit over my problem areas. Actually you can still see a bit of redness poking through because I didn’t want to build up too much. A color corrector would have fixed that, but I wanted to show off the foundation on its own. But for the most part I think it evened everything out rather nicely.

I’m just going to go ahead and say that I love this foundation! I think the only negative thing I can say is that I don’t like having to dip my finger (or brush) into the compact. But I do love the compact itself. It’s simple, but really pretty. It’s nice and sturdy too.

You can see the Confidence in a Compact in action below. I’m wearing the shade Light along with a primer and setting powder. I didn’t use a color corrector or concealer. I also used the Tan shade to lightly contour.

It Cosmetics Holiday 2016 Collection

Let’s talk holiday collections! I don’t remember being this excited last year about holiday collections. In fact I don’t think I purchased a single item from any of the holiday collections last year! Nothing really jumped out at me. This year? I’m going to break the bank for sure! ColourPop and their beautiful Hello Kitty Collection. Wet n Wild’s Sequins and Stardust Collection. MAC Nutcracker Collection. And the It Cosmetics Holiday Collection! I didn’t even know that It Cosmetics would be releasing a holiday collection. So you can imagine how surprised I was when I opened the box and saw these beauties!

By now I’m sure you all know just how much I love It Cosmetics brushes! They are some of the softest brushes I’ve ever used. They’re so gentle on my sensitive skin. They’re easily my most reached for brushes. And I cannot say enough good things about them. What could make them better? How’s about glitter? But don’t worry! It’s not as messy as it sounds. It’s coated so the glitter doesn’t flake off. This set is all kinds of glamorous!

Rose gold seems to be pretty popular these days. And I can totally see why. It’s beautiful and elegant. The City Chic Brush Set is tucked inside the cutest rose gold bag. The tassel is removable so that the bag can be used as a clutch. The brushes have an ombre rose gold handle and are just as soft as the brushes in the All That Glitters Brush Set.

Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara Ornament

Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara Ornament $12.00
This cute decorative ornament contains a mini sized version of the Superhero Mascara. I really like this mascara and have used it in quite a few looks. You can read my full review here.

Confidence in a Cream Transforming Moisturizing Super Cream Ornament $16.00
This cute decorative ornament contains a mini sized version of the Confidence in a Cream. I’m still testing this out. What I can tell you is that so far it hasn’t negatively affected my sensitive skin. It’s thick and creamy. It does has a rather strong scent that lingers a bit. It’s kind of citrusy. Scent issues aside, so far I’m liking it.

Overall I have to say that this is a great collection. The brush sets would make great gifts. I know I was extremely happy to receive them. The brushes are amazing and you seriously can’t go wrong with them. The face palette is really pretty. I can see this coming in handy for when I travel this holiday season. No need to pack up a blush, bronzer, setting powder, and highlighter. This one palette will cover all of my bases. And I already use and love the Bye Bye Pores Powder. I’m curious to see how the pressed compares to the loose. The ornaments are a really nice touch. In my family we have a tradition where every year each of us gets a new ornament. We usually choose something that reflects or stood out during the year. These will make a great addition to our tree this year. I also think it’s a great way to try the items before purchasing the full size.

You can purchase these items at Ulta (online and in stores) and online at It Cosmetics. Last I checked all of the items were available online. The brushes are Ulta exclusives. You have to search for the brush sets by name. They don’t show up under the It Cosmetics Holiday Collection link for some reason.

Does anything catch your eye? What other holiday collections are you eying?
