You just know I had to try a few of the Jouer Cosmetics liquid lipsticks! Even though that’s not what caught my attention. I was more interested in the lipsticks and blushes. However, their liquid lipsticks do look rather nice!

Their metallic lipsticks are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. I wanted to buy them all, but I wasn’t sure how wearable they’d be so I started off with just one. I decided to go with Praline. Praline is described as a metallic cool bronzed pink. The shade is incredibly beautiful! The first thing I noticed was the pleasant vanilla scent. It’s subtle though! It applied beautifully! The lipstick was smooth and creamy! It really was a dream to work with. It surprised me because one of the other shades gave me problems. It was nice to have at least one shade work out for me. The only downside is that it’s not really wearable. At least not on its own. It looks totally wearable in the photo, but not so much in person. This baby is a true metallic shade! And boy will people see you coming from miles away! Hah!

For the most part I did find it to be transfer and smudge proof. I wouldn’t say it was totally lightweight, but it still made for a nice comfortable wear. I’ll have to experiment with it a bit to see how I can make this work for me. Because I just don’t feel comfortable enough to wear this out on its own. You can see Praline in action below!

Since I loved my first Jouer Cosmetics blush so much, I just had to purchase another one. I’m actually digging the blushes way more than the lip products. I haven’t had much luck with those. But that’s another post! For now we’ll talk about this beauty!

Rose is described as a dusty rose. It’s nothing too exciting, but I really love those more natural blushes that add just a pop of color to your cheeks. It’s not the most pigmented blush, but it can easily be built up. It’s one of those blushes that you don’t have to fuss over. I reach for it on those days I’m wearing minimal makeup and just need a bit of color on my cheeks. It adds a nice subtle rose glow.

It’s soft, but not powdery like Blossom was. It applied and blended just as beautifully too. Wear time was about the same with a little fading around 7-8 hours. You can see Rose in action below!

Overall, it’s a gorgeous addition to my blush collection. I really wish there were more shades to choose from. At the moment there are only 6 shades listed on the website. The only other blush I’m eying is Peach Bouquet. I’d like to see a lilac shade. I can totally picture that and I bet it would look amazing in their packaging!

I’ve become a bit of a blush collector. I can’t pass up a pretty blush these days. Back when I placed my first Jouer Cosmetics order I just had to get a blush with my lipstick. They looked too pretty to pass up!

I’m really digging the sleek black packaging. I also love how they can connect to one another to create a palette of sorts. Either way they’re very easy to store. At the moment I have them tucked on the side of my round blushes. They’re thin enough to sit on the side so that I can easily get to them. Obviously I’m running out of room in the old blush drawer, but hey, if it fits it sits!

Blossom is the first blush I purchased. It’s described as a soft peach pink. It really is a soft shade and not super pigmented. But it can easily be built it. It’s soft and a little on the powdery side, but not too powdery. It applied and blended beautifully. It’s a nice lightweight blush and pretty lasting too. It lasted about 7-8 hours before slightly fading. It’s a gorgeous shade and has quickly become one of my go-to blushes as of lately.

Here’s a little more info on these blushes. The Mineral Powder Blushes are said to be lightweight and oil free. They are also infused with green tea powder and vitamins A, C, and E to protect against free radicals. I have to say… they’re really nice blushes and I’ll totally be adding more to my collection.
