Pixi Beauty Skintreats

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

Trying to play catch up after being sick while also doing a massive Spring cleaning has been… hectic. I’m just glad to be feeling better. Although I’m still not feeling 100% just yet. I’m pushing through it though.

I do have so much that I want to share starting with some new and not so new goodies from Pixi Beauty. I’ve only recently started experimenting with their products, but I already have a few favorites including one listed here.

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

DetoxifEYE
NEW from Pixi Beauty is the DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches. These hydrogel patches are infused with cucumber and gold to help soothe, nourish, and fortify your under-eyes.

I couldn’t wait to try these eye patches. My skin is pretty sensitive so I was a little worried about how they’d work for me. But after being sick for so long and really looking the part, my eyes really needed a pick me up. So I went in. Immediately after applying the patches I felt a slight cooling sensation. My under-eye area felt so refreshed. Once I took the patches off I pat the serum into my skin and let it absorb. I definitely noticed a difference. My eyes looked less dull and tired.

You can also refrigerate these so they offer more of a cooling sensation. I can see this working nicely in the Summer.

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

Peel & Polish
Not so new radiance revealing enzyme peel that resurfaces for smoother, softer skin. Contains natural fruit enzymes that loosen dead skin cells while lactic acid gently exfoliates.

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

T-Zone Peel Off Mask
Not so new T-Zone Peel Off Mask that purifies pores. Contains avocado and green tea.

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

Glow Mud Mask
Not so new Glow Mud Mask is a purifying, glow revealing clay mask that is said to purify and balance skin.

Pixi Beauty Skintreats

GLOW Glycolic Boost
NEW from Pixi Beauty is the GLOW Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask. It claims to be an instant brightening and hydrating effect sheet mask.

Have you tried any of these products? Have any of them caught your eye?

Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palette in Natural Beauty

Swatches: Deep Taupe, Foiled Bronze, Soft Brown, Chocolate Brown, Cocoa Shimmer, Bronze Gleam

My friend and I do this thing where she will suggest different looks for me to try. Usually it’s something I wouldn’t do on my own. I think it’s a fun way to try something different. And I’m always up for a challenge. Last week she suggested I try a nude eye look with a bold wing and bold lip. Since I had just received 2 of the new Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes I figured it was the perfect time to break them in. The Natural Beauty Palette was my first choice.

The Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palette in Natural Beauty contains 12 eyeshadows in both matte and metallic finishes. For a nude palette these shadows are incredibly pigmented! The metallics are so creamy they just glide onto your skin. The mattes are on the soft side and needed to be built up a bit, but they applied and blended beautifully. I love how they also included a nice brow bone shade. There’s no need to reach for another palette.

Even though this is a neutral palette there are a few beautiful rose gold shades and even a really nice bronze shade. I really wanted to try out that Metallic Rose, but my friend did say nude so I decided to hold off. For now. You can see my neutral look below.

For this look I used Rose Clay and Soft Brown in my crease, Petal on my lid and inner corner of my eye, Sheer Sand on my brow bone and Chocolate Brown on my lower lash line. While this isn’t something I would normally wear, I do love how it turned out. I think it’s a really nice change. And it’s definitely wearable.

Overall, I’d have to say I love the Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palette in Natural Beauty. It’s a gorgeous neutral palette that contains a few metallics that can take your look from simple neutral to full on glam.

Have you tried any of Pixi Beauty’s eyeshadow palettes? Which one is your favorite?

Swatches: GildedBare Glow, PinkChampagne Glow

After professing my love for the Pixi Beauty PixiGlow Cake in PinkChampagne Glow I couldn’t wait to share the GildedBare Glow with you.

In case you missed my previous post, GildedBare Glow is a 3-in-1 cheek palette containing contour, blush and highlighter all in one. You can use the shades individually or swirl them together for a beautiful cheek color with a natural glow. Which is usually what I do. However, with the PixiGlow Cakes I prefer sectioning them off into two. I like to swirl the blush and contour shades together for my blush and apply the highlighter after. It looks so much more natural that way.

What I really love about these is that even though they are nicely pigmented, they look so natural. They apply like a dream and photograph so well! It’s no secret that I don’t like looking at photos of myself, but the ones where I’m wearing these PixiGlow Cakes are easily some of my favorites. And I don’t mind looking at them. In fact I can’t stop looking at them. The color is just too pretty! You can see the Pixi Beauty PixiGlow Cake in GildedBare Glow in action below. I also added the highlighter to the inner corner of my eye.

I thought the PinkChampagne Glow was my favorite. But after testing the GildedBare Glow again I think it’s a tie. I love them both!

Have you tried the Pixi Beauty PixiGlow Cakes yet? Which one is your favorite?
