The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection

When I saw the promo photos for the new Almond Milk & Honey Collection on The Body Shop’s Instagram, I immediately added it to my wishlist. It looked and sounded like a wonderful line. Luckily I got the chance to test it out when my husband surprised me with a trip to the nearest mall that sold the products. It was a good 1 hour and 15 minute drive, but it was so worth it!

I wanted to get everything in the line. I contained myself and only got the products I knew I would use. Here is what I picked up.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection

Almond Milk & Honey Bath Milk

Almond Milk & Honey Bath Milk $15.00
This creamy bath milk claims to gently cleanse, soothe, and reduce the sensation of tight, itchy, dry skin. It’s enriched with almond milk from Spain and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia. It’s specially formulated for sensitive, dry skin.

To use, pour generously while running the bath. It did create some bubbles, but when they disappeared I was left with a rich, milky bath that was incredibly relaxing! It smelled wonderful! It was soft, slightly sweet, and almost powdery. It left my skin feeling soft and more hydrated.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection

Almond Milk & Honey Body Scrub

Almond Milk & Honey Body Scrub $24.00
This exfoliating cream scrub gently buffs away dead skin cells leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. It’s also enriched with almond milk from Spain and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia.

To use, rub gently onto dry, rough parts of your skin while in the shower or bath. I found it to be one of the most gentle body scrubs I’ve ever used.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Collection

Almond Milk & Honey Body Lotion

Almond Milk & Honey Body Lotion $13.00
This body lotion claims to provide you with lightweight moisture that lasts for 48 hours while soothing uncomfortable, tight, itchy, dry skin. From the moment I tested this I was in love! It left my skin feeling silky smooth! And it’s easily the nicest smelling lotion in my stash. It truly is lightweight and just an all around winner in my book!

I really hope they keep this collection around because it’s by far my favorite from The Body Shop! It’s perfect for my super sensitive skin and it smells wonderful! I might have to try the Shower Cream and Body Butter now.

Commitment Sponge Reggie Junior $6.00
This cute limited edition commitment sponge would make for a cute stocking stuffer! Reggie Junior here provides gentle exfoliation while increasing the lather of your favorite body wash!

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Strawberry Body Butter

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Strawberry Lip Butter

Strawberry Festive Butters Bauble $10.00
This festive set contains a 1.7 oz Strawberry Body Butter and a .34 oz Strawberry Lip Butter. The Lip Butter has a balm texture. It does a great job at keeping lips moisturized with a delicious strawberry scent. The Body Butter is creamy, thick, and very rich. I actually don’t care much for strawberry scented things, but this smells amazingly good! It’s not a super sweet scent. It’s fresh and uplifting. I think this is easily one of my favorite scents from the brand (so far)!

Vanilla Chai Candle $19.00
This isn’t shown in the photo above because it arrived broken. I removed most of the glass, but it just didn’t look pretty enough to photograph. But I still felt it was worth mentioning. The limited edition Vanilla Chai scent is really nice. I get more vanilla than chai though. I think it reminds me more of fresh baked cookies than vanilla chai with its warm and slightly sweet scent. I would have loved to smell a little spice though. That totally would have made this more chai than cookie. But who wouldn’t want their home smelling like fresh baked cookies? It smells wonderful!

The Finest Facial Mask Duo $39.00
This mask duo contains the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask and the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. I actually reviewed both of these on the blog. You can read my review here. Both of these masks are real winners in my book. The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is still my favorite! I think this duo is a great option for those who are into skin care. You get the best of both worlds! And it comes inside a cute box which could easily be reused for storage or something.

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Honey Bronze Drops Of Sun

Honey Bronze Drops Of Sun $20.00
Adding just one drop of the Honey Bronze Drops Of Sun to your moisturizer will give you a nice Summer glow! You can also add a drop to your favorite foundation to enhance or mimic a tan. It’s matte so you don’t have to worry about shimmer everywhere! It’ll be nice to brighten up those dull Winter days!

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Eye Color Stick in Nevada Gold, Matte Lipstick in 420 Honolulu Pink

Matte Lipstick in 420 Honolulu Pink $12.50
The Matte Lipstick in Honolulu Pink is really pretty! It’s surprisingly creamy for a matte lipstick. It does need some building up though. It’s not as opaque as I’d like it to be with just one swipe. It also doesn’t play well with lip balm so definitely prep your lips the night before.

Eye Color Stick in Nevada Gold $15.00
The Eye Color Sticks come in 4 shades. Black, Purple, Bronze, and Gold which is shown in the photo above. It’s a gorgeous gold with lots of shimmer. I think this shade would make for a great Christmas or New Year party look!

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Attica Marble, Petra Sandstone, Penrhyn Slate, Bengal Granite

Down To Earth Eyeshadow Quad in Plum $24.00
The Down To Earth Eyeshadow Quad features 4 neutral eyeshadow shades that are inspired by nature. The plum quad contains the shades Attica Marble, Petra Sandstone, Penrhyn Slate, and Bengal Granite. I found most of the shadows to be soft and almost creamy. The matte shade was a little stiff and on the powdery side. Though not too much. It was also the least pigmented of the bunch. The others were nicely pigmented.

The shadows can be used both wet and dry. They’re swatched dry in the photos though. Another thing I like about these quads is that the pans are removable so that you can switch them out with other shadows from other quads!

The Body Shop Christmas Goodies

Oregon Sunstone, Peru Clay, Sienna Dust, Idaho Jasper

Down To Earth Eyeshadow Quad in Brown $24.00
The shades in the Down To Earth Quad in Brown are Oregon Sunstone, Peru Clay, Sienna Dust, and Idaho Jasper. Like the Plum quad the matte shade is on the powdery side. This one was a little softer though. However, Peru Clay is easily the most disappointing shadow of both quads. I just couldn’t get that shade to build up. As you can see, I really tried! Thankfully the others perform much better.

I’ll be posting a look using each of these makeup items later on this week. I’m most impressed with the quads and can’t wait to put them to use!

Right now a few of these items are on sale on The Body Shop website. Buy 3 Get 3 Free. Which is a pretty awesome deal!

The Body Shop Go Wild For Christmas

With Christmas quickly approaching it can be stressful trying to find that perfect gift. I’ve actually always found it to be very easy to buy gifts for the people in my life. But I know that’s not the case with everyone. No worries though! I’ll help you out a little!

The Body Shop has seriously got some of the coolest looking holiday gifts. I think they’re easily the prettiest I’ve seen around this holiday season. And this personalized body butter is at the top of the list! If you know what scent the gift recipient is into, I’d totally go with one of these!

I guess only certain stores are participating in the promotion so definitely call ahead before making the trip. You can pick one of four animals. A flamingo which is shown here, a tiger, panda, and what I think looks like a deer? The animals are wearing a cute Christmas hat which makes it all kinds of festive. The personalized name added at the bottom makes this a really great gift option. Seriously, I can’t even tell you how excited I was to see my name on this beauty!

The body butter scent I received is coconut. It’s made with community trade virgin organic coconut oil. It has a nice thick texture, but a little goes a long way. Once it touches your skin it just sort of melts into it. And boy does this last! My skin felt silky smooth the next morning and all throughout the day. I think this is one of the richest body butters I’ve tried. The coconut scent is perfect! It’s not sickeningly sweet. At least not to me. There are also a few limited edition scents. Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berries, and Spiced Apple. I totally have to make it to the closest store so that I can try these out. They sound wonderful!

Throughout this holiday season, every purchase of specially selected gift sets will help to build Bio-Bridges and protect endangered animals in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. You can read more about it and see which gifts count by clicking here.
