theBalm Cheater! Mascara

I get a little too excited over HauteLook’s beauty events. Back in May I saw theBalm listed for the first time since I’ve been a member. So I went a little crazy and got a few things. I absolutely love theBalm’s packaging! The names are also pretty cool. Cheater! mascara, anyone?

Above you can see some swatches of the things I purchased. All except for the translucent powder because, well, it’s translucent. I love it all! I especially love the fact that I only paid $48.50 for everything when it would have originally cost me $97.00. I do love me a good deal. Anyway, I’m not trying to sell HauteLook to y’all. I just love stalking their site for beauty deals and when I spot a good one I get in some decent mini hauls. Like this one.

You can see FratBoy in action on my last post. I just love that shade! I’m also wearing the Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder which I haven’t worn enough times to decide whether or not I like it. I’ll definitely report back though!

Falafel - This recipe has been my go-to falafel recipe for years! I make very few changes. First, I cut the recipe in half so that I don't have waste. Last, I only use garbanzo beans. To serve, I layer homemade tzatziki sauce, halved falafel balls, diced cucumber/tomato/onion, and shredded lettuce on a flour tortilla. Then I wrap it up like a burrito and slice in half. I store the reamining cooked falafel in an airtight container in the fridge for easy lunches throughout the week. I reheat falafel on a skillet lightly coated with cooking spray or oil.
