I have to admit that I mostly bought this for the packaging. Pink. Hearts. Yeah, it just had my name written all over it. That and I love the chocolate bar palettes. Even though they’re all fairly similar. I probably could have skipped this one and wouldn’t have missed much, but it’s just so darn cute!

This palette contains some really nice neutrals with a few brighter shades in both matte and shimmer finishes. I like that this palette contains a few more colorful shades. The Totally Fetch shade isn’t as nice as the one from my Pretty Rebel palette. The Pretty Rebel version was so buttery smooth and pigmented. This one is on the chalkier side and not nearly as pigmented. It looks much nicer and more pigmented over primer, but with the Pretty Rebel version I didn’t have to work so hard to achieve such results. The rest of the shadows were really nice though. Not that Totally Fetch isn’t nice. It’s just not AS nice as the Pretty Rebel version.

You can see a look I created with this beauty below.

I purchased this beautiful palette around the same time I moved. I ended up digging into it before I got around to taking proper pictures so please excuse me. I really hate doing that, but sometimes I really can’t contain myself. Oops?

What’s not to love about this palette? First of all, it smells heavenly! It smells like sweet, delicious cocoa. I can’t help but smell it whenever I open it. Is that weird? Well, it smells darn good!

The shadows are nicely pigmented. They applied and blended nicely. I had some problems with the first chocolate bar palette, but I didn’t have any issues with this one. Well, my only real issue was with the Blueberry Swirl shade. I was really hoping for a more vibrant blue. Something that would just POP out of all those neutrals. But instead it just sort of blended in. Aside from that it really is perfection. Or close to perfection at least. And it’s just so darn cute! I really do love whole chocolate bar theme.

Below you can see a look I created with this palette. I really think it produces the most perfect neutral look. And you can see what I mean about Blueberry Swirl just sort of blending in. I have it applied on my lower lash line. It sort of looks like a gunmetal grey rather than a blueberry anything.

Overall I really do love this palette. It definitely met my expectations and then some. I even kind of dig the Pink Sugar shade that no one else seemed to care for. While I agree it could be more pigmented, I kind of think the name fits. Pink Sugar doesn’t exactly sound like a vibrant pink shade (to me anyway). It seems like it would be sheer and glittery. Well done, Too Faced! Well done!

Swatches

I don’t own a lot of Too Faced products. Which is odd because so many of them have caught my eye. Their stuff always looks so colorful and pretty. Like this Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer. Look how cute it is! And you just know I had to get this one because of the name Carrie & Big! Ross & Rachel was tempting, but I didn’t want to get too carried away.

Carrie & Big is described as a light to medium bronzer with slight shimmer combined with the perfect pop of coral blush. It’s wrapped in a pretty heart shaped compact complete with a mirror. As you can tell from my swatches it really is a light to medium bronzer. More light on me now that I’m so tan. I couldn’t use the bronzer as contour, but I did anyway so that you can see how it all looked on me. I’ll probably just end up using the whole thing as a blush from now on because that worked better for me. I really did have to build it up in order for it to even show up on me, but I was happy with the outcome.

Overall I’d have to say that it’s a really nice duo. I wish that I could have used the bronzer as contour so that I could get more use out of it, but I’m ok with using it as a blush. The Ross & Rachel might have worked a little better on my tan skin, but… Carrie & Big?!
