ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Tasty

Swatches

And we’re back to the ColourPop goodies! I decided to take a little break between posting all of my recent ColourPop purchases to add a little variety. I’ve seriously got way too many ColourPop posts drafted. Anyway, during my last ColourPop haul I grabbed a few of the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Highlighters. Tasty seemed like a fun one to start with.

Tasty is described as a candy colored coral with multi-dimensional pink and copper duo-chrome finishes. It’s super creamy! It’s even creamier than the blushes that I’ve tried so far. It just glides onto your skin! I really like how easily it applied. I didn’t have to do much building up either, but I did so that my camera would pick up the awesomeness that is Tasty. You can see Tasty in action below.

I’m really digging the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Highlighters so far. And Tasty really was a fun one to start with.

I’m going to have to invest in some more highlighting brushes so that I can experiment more. What’s YOUR go to highlighting brush?

  1. It looks like it could be used as blush if you were fair skinned, too.

  2. The blush is beautiful but girl I’m eyeing your eyeliner – how do get the line so perfectly straight? And your lids are fantastic! Jealous! I guess I’ve obviously seen them before but in this post for some reason they really stood out to me. Now my comment being to sound weird. :/

    • Hahaha not weird at all! It’s funny you should mention the liner because I was SO mad this day. My right eye always comes out perfectly! The left eye? Nope! I had to wash off my whole eye look because I made the line WAY too thick and I wasn’t trying to mess with the other eye. I mostly use MAC Fluidline with my MAC 210 brush. I just find it to be so much easier to work with. But for this look I used my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I can’t explain how I even get it straight half the time. Luck? I just create a bunch of small lines and connect them very carefully. I really like the tip on the Tattoo Liner. It really does make for perfect precision lining. I hope this helped somewhat?

  3. It’s so subtle and gorgeous! <3 Love it on you. The eyeshadow and lipstick goes perfectly with it.

  4. I’m trying to refrain myself from purchasing ColorPop products because I am overflowing with products but I think I really need to pick up a couple soon, They are just too pretty and good to resist.

  6. It looks beautiful! I haven’t tried any Colourpop yet. I know, what am I waiting for?
As far as highlighting blushes go, my Michael Kors Flush is a staple, and the new theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush that I just received is pretty awesome too if you want a neutral bronzy shade, it has a beautiful subtle sheen.

  8. Ooh, I haven’t tried their highlighters yet! I’ve been lovely their shadows lately, but their site is so dangerous, I go on to buy one thing, and I get 10 haha

  9. I tend to skip highlighters because I’m worried I’ll end up way too shimmery. This looks beautiful though – good haulin’ :-)

This looks like a peachy version of my all-time favorite highlighter theBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer! :D I wonder if it feels as soft texture-wise. It compliments your complexion so nicely! I love the whole look. So clean and polished. :)

    • Thank you, Jaa! :) You know, I actually haven’t tried Cindy-Lou Manizer. And I love theBalm products! I might have to try it out.
