Every year just before Halloween I convince myself that I’m going to do this or do that. In the end I find myself walking my son from door to door dressed as… myself. Fun, no? This year I’m actually going to do some of this and some of that. Yeah, I don’t really know what this or that entails just yet. However, I have put together a small list of fun Halloween looks. If you’re also looking for some inspiration, maybe you’ll find some of these helpful? Also, feel free to share some of your own finds in the comments!
- Sweet Sugar Skull by Nicole Guerriero – My friend Stephany sent me the link to this video after I mentioned wanting to try a sugar skull look for Halloween this year. I saw a few other good ones on YouTube, but they were far too complicated for me to pull off. This one looks more doable. I really love the use of pink here. It’s a different approach and really colorful.
- Halloween Look: Pin-Up Zombie by Nicole Guerriero – Another great Halloween look from Nicole. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pin-up style zombie! This one looks like it requires more work, but the outcome is totally worth it. Well, assuming mine turns out that well haha! It definitely looks like it would be fun to try out and I have pretty much everything on hand. Aside from the ‘blood’ that is.
- Halloween Tutorial: Strong Women – Rosie the Riveter by Coffee Break With Dani – Of course I had to throw in a video from one of my absolute favorite YouTubers (WOO!)! While this look isn’t something I’m aiming for, I still think it’s great! It’s an inexpensive look and something you can put together pretty quickly if you’re short on time. Plus St. Louis coffee mug! Holla! If y’all aren’t familiar with Coffee Break With Dani’s channel, you totally need to hop on over there. I don’t label people my favorite for no reason. True story!
- Zombie Barbie by Michelle Phan – How cool is zombie Barbie? A wonderful tutorial for a realistic looking Barbie OR a zombified Barbie! I really do like Michelle’s twist on the girly girl Barbie I remember from my childhood. I even got a few laughs in. I’m definitely giving this one a try!
Are any of you doing anything special for Halloween? Do you have any looks planned out? I’m going to try out a few of these looks. Heck, I might just try them all! They’re all fairly inexpensive and I have most of the product on hand. I need all the practice I can get since my son decided he wants to be a zombie (or a ‘walker’ to us Walking Dead fans) this year. No worries. Photos of my attempts or failed attempts will follow!
