I know that contouring isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s something I really got on board with. I’ve always disliked the shape of my face. It’s round and on the chubby side. I like that I can change that with a little contouring. Not the super sculpted contouring, but something more natural and subtle. Something that leaves me feeling a little more confident.
I’ve purchased a few contour palettes within the year. I never did care much for the cream based palettes. I’ve seen some amazing things done with them, but I never could get the hang of them. They required way too much work and it left me feeling TOO made up. Which is great if that’s what you’re going for. The only palette I truly liked was my Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette which I did review on my blog, but I won’t link back to it because the photos make me cringe. Anyway, I used that palette daily. Until I received the It Cosmetics You Sculpted Contour Palette.
The It Cosmetics You Sculpted Contour Palette contains 4 contouring shades in soft, light, medium and deep along with 2 highlighting shades in matte and radiance. I absolutely love radiance! It has a slight shimmer and makes for the perfect highlight! It is seriously beautiful! All of these shades are silky smooth. They can be a little powdery, but it’s not so bad. They applied and blended beautifully. The shades are infused with anti-aging collagen, silk and peptides and are talc-free. The palette also contains a how-to guide in the back which is full of tips and tricks. It’s very informative and is complete with photos so you know what goes where. It is seriously the easiest contour palette I’ve worked with. And I haven’t been able to put it down since it landed on my doorstep.
What I like most about this palette is how easy it is to achieve a nice natural looking contour. The soft and light shades are perfect for just that. Of course you can always mix and match to get a shade that’s just right for you. I personally like the light contour shade along with the radiance highlighter. You can see them in action below.
I used the radiance highlighter on my cheek bone, cupid’s bow, nose, and on the inner corner of my eye. I used the light contour shade to contour. I also contoured my nose a bit which is something I don’t usually do. I just wanted to experiment a bit more.
At the moment this palette is sitting on my stand along with all of my other essentials. And there it shall stay. Maybe I’ll do a post sharing all of the items I have there at the moment.
If you use a contour palette, which one is your favorite?
I have the original version of the It Cosmetics sculpting palette and I do like it. This one looks similar, but I think they updated the shimmery highlight shades :-)

I’m really digging the shimmery highlight. It’s beautiful! I don’t think I’ve seen the original version. I’ll have to look for swatches. I’m curious as to how they compare.
I very recently got more into contouring so this palette sounds absolutely dreamy to me. I actually love every shade in the palette and I think they would suit my medium skin tone too. Need to check how much is this in CAD.

It was so funny seeing your review on the MUFE cream contour palette because I literally just mentioned here how I wasn’t a fan of cream based palettes. But reading your review had me wondering if I should give it a try. I guess it can’t hurt to have options? :)
I just started contouring and havent picked a favorite palette yet, but I found the cream ones easier to work with.

I’ve only recently been introduced to the brand, but so far I’m very impressed. And their brushes are incredible!
It looks very pretty on you, sculpted but still natural. I don’t do much contour at all, and when I try to get a duo (by Nyx) things didn’t go too well, lol!
