Swatches (Left to Right): Mineral Blush in Fresh Rose, Eyelights Shadow Primer in Spot Light, Silky Pressed Mineral Shadow in Rose Gold, Chablis, Malt, Stormy Weather, Wine, Pressed Cake Eyeliner in Charcoal Cake

The LuLu Face Company is a new-to-me brand. Their online shop offers a variety of products including makeup, tools, and even skin care. They also have a nice looking Fall nail polish lineup. You can even create your very own custom palette! What I like about this is that it allows you to include more than just eyeshadow. Let’s take a look at one of their customized palettes!

The custom palette shown above features one of their Mineral Blushes in the shade Fresh Rose which is a muted rose with a matte finish. It is a little intense for a muted rose, but it doesn’t apply that way at all. It’s actually a very pretty shade. It’s so pretty that I used it in an eye look as well as on my cheeks.

It also includes an Eyelights Shadow Primer in the shade Spot Light which is a soft beige pearl. Eyelights lay down a soft pearl luminous glow on the eye and creates the perfect canvas for long lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. It’s very creamy and as you can tell from the swatch, all kinds of glowy!

The Silky Pressed Mineral Shadows included are Rose Gold which is a copper shimmer, Chablis which is a light pink brown shimmer, Malt which is a soft nude brown with a matte finish, Stormy Weather which is a plum brown with a matte finish, and Wine which is a deep berry with a matte finish. My only issue with the names is the Rose Gold and Chablis. Chablis really should be named Rose Gold because… well look at it! It’s the most gorgeous rose gold I’ve ever seen! Both shimmers are incredibly soft and pigmented. The mattes are your typical mattes. A little on the dry side, but still very blendable. Even the Pressed Cake Eyeliner which I confused for shadow. I ended up using it in my outer crease and to my surprise it blended beautifully! I usually have a difficult time with those darker matte shades.

Oh and you better believe I used Chablis as a highlighter. How could I not? I just had to post another swatch showing it off. It’s so difficult capturing the shifts of some shades. You have to twist your hand just right. And when you do? You get this…

Last, but certainly not least is the Pressed Cake Eyeliner in the shade Charcoal. The brand also carries a product called Stuck On You which you can use along with their Pressed Cake Eyeliners to create long lasting, smudge-proof eyeliner. I tried it out with a little MAC Fix+ and was pretty impressed. It really was smudge-proof! It’s not as dark as I like my eyeliner to be, but it is a charcoal shade rather than my trusty black.

You can see a look I created with My LuLu Face Company Custom Palette below. I used Chablis on my lid and inner corner, Fresh Rose in my crease with a little Wine thrown in, Charcoal in my outer crease, Chablis as my face highlighter, and Fresh Rose on my cheeks.

Overall, I’d have to say that I’m very impressed with this custom palette. It contains everything you’d need for a full look. I can totally see this palette coming in handy for travel. Pop this baby in your makeup bag along with some foundation, face primer, and mascara, and you’re all set! The best part? They offer FREE shipping! They have the code displayed on the home page. They only ship within the US though.
