MAC A Fantasy Of Flowers Collection

February 7, 2014 | Beauty, MAC | No Comments »

Purchased By Me

Sometimes I hate to admit it, but the truth is I’m a bit of a MAC whore. Yes, I said whore. My love for makeup and all things pretty isn’t limited to specific brands, but I do tend to gravitate more towards MAC than anything else. I’m not sure what it is, but their new collection launches probably excite me way more than they should. I can’t even begin to tell you about the amount of sleep I lost over The Archie’s Girls Collection (my all time favorite collection). A Fantasy Of Flowers is far from being a favorite of mine, but I was still pretty excited about it and love the items I purchased. Mostly.

I say mostly because it appears the Mineralize Skinfinishes are different this time around. I was lucky enough to purchase Stereo Rose in 2012, but I’m a tad bummed about the 2014 release of Perfect Topping. This isn’t at all what I was hoping to get. They’re obviously two very different Skinfinishes than the ones from previous releases. Would it be Skinfinishes? Or is the plural term still Skinfinish? Anyway, the Perfect Topping Skinfinish might not be what I was expecting, but I suppose it’s not a total loss either. I’m sure that I’ll get some use of it. Now for some pictures and swatches!

I didn’t post a swatch of the 2014 Stereo Rose because this one isn’t mine to swatch. It’s strictly for a client. Sorry about that!

The lipsticks are all wonderful! I don’t care much for lustres, but I do love these and think they’ll be great for Spring! The fluidlines are both unique colors in my collection as I typically go for blacks and grays. That’s about all that caught my eye from MAC’s A Fantasy Of Flowers Collection. I might go back for the Petal Power Blush, but I’m still undecided. Overall it’s a decent looking collection and the only item that didn’t live up to my expectations was the Skinfinish. Skinfinishes? Seriously, what is it???

I don’t want this post to be so photo heavy, so check back soon for some looks that I’m planning to create with this collection. I know. I know. I’m full of broken promises. But this time I mean it!
