Today I will be reviewing this box full of goodies from Maybelline! I’m still testing out the Facestudio Master Prime in 200 – Blur + Illuminate. I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet, but I will definitely report back on it after I’ve fully tested it out.
First up is the Facestudio Master Contour V-Shape Duo Sticks. Talk about a mouthful, huh? These nifty contour sticks come in 3 shades. 10 – Light, 15 – Medium, and 20 – Deep. On one side you’ve got contour and on the other side you’ve got highlight. It’s a great concept and I can definitely see these sticks coming in handy for travel, but not so much for every day use. If you apply it straight from the tube it’s almost impossible to apply just one side. The two sides eventually mix together. You might be able to get away with a little highlight being mixed with your contour, but you definitely don’t want that contour being mixed with your highlight.
Application issues aside, the product was really nice. They’re really pigmented and have a nice creamy texture. I used my BeautyBlender to blend it out and it blended beautifully! I used the light shade which made for a really nice subtle contour. It can easily be built up for a more sculpted look, but that’s not what I was going for.
Next up is the Facestudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter. It comes in 2 shades. 100 – Light Iridescent and 200 – Medium-Nude Glow. These highlighting sticks are also very pigmented and even creamier than the contour sticks. These glided onto my arm effortlessly! I decided to apply these with my fingers because I was afraid of going overboard. I just rubbed my finger across the top and then pat the product onto my cheekbone. I used the Light Iridescent shade and built it up quite a bit so that it would show in the photo. Seriously, look at that glow! I really love these Strobing Sticks and wish there were more shades available. Cause I would buy the heck out of them!
You can see the Facestudio Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick and the Facestudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter in action below!
Overall I think the products are pretty great. If you do a lot of traveling the Facestudio Master Contour V-Shape Duo Sticks might be more convenient than packing up a palette. Just be careful when applying straight from the tube. And if you really want to glow, check out the Facestudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter in Light Iridescent. It’s beautiful!
Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win the Derma E Purifying Collection! It’s a pretty great skin care line!

Thank you so much, Becca! :)
The Illuminator is beautiful on you! I thought that the contour/highlight pencil was a great idea but I haven’t heard any great reports on it, which is a shame xx

Thank you so much, Steph! :)
I do like creamy texture, as long as it applies easily and blends even easier. It looks gorgeous on you, Lisa!

Thank you, Lulle! :)
The V-Shape Duo sticks definitely seem like a double-edged sword- application could be tricky because of accidental mixing, but they would definitely be convenient for travel. The Strobing Stick, however, sounds like a total win and looks fab on you!
