October 2015 Birchbox

Here is my October 2015 Birchbox! It’s not really exciting, but I wouldn’t call it a dud either. Let’s break it down…

The BioRepublic Skincare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask Set sounds nice, but after my last experience with a sheet mask I’m going to have to pass. Sorry!

I’ll definitely give the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk a try. I actually haven’t tried a dry shampoo yet. Even though I do have a few samples in my tool box. I’ll get around to sampling them one day.

I’m actually pretty excited to try the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. I don’t wear tinted moisturizer often, but it’s nice on those days I want to keep it light.

The Number 4™ Lumiere dhiver Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil kind of confused me. At first I thought it was a hair oil, but after reading the description on Birchbox I found out that it’s actually a shampoo that doubles as a body wash. I don’t plan to use it as a body wash, but I’m curious to see how it’ll hold up with my color treated hair. The reviews seem promising.

I’ve never tried a stila mascara so I’m pretty excited about the stila huge™ extreme lash mascara. I’ll definitely work this into a look later on this week and report back.

A little side note: So all that talk about planning ahead and having TONS of posts lined up and somehow things are sluggish around here. I actually do have several posts lined up, but they need swatches. My skin is doing much better now so I’ll have to get to those swatches ASAP. I also fell behind on some of your blogs because I’ve been busy around the house. I don’t know what came over me. One day I woke up and started deep cleaning the place and somehow it turned into a massive Fall cleaning. I got rid of quite a bit of makeup, clothes, unused appliances (the ice cream maker seemed like a good idea at the time…), etc. Also, now that the holidays are upon us I’ve been getting in some bakery orders and that pushed me to finally get my Etsy store up and running. Well, it pushed me to TRY to get it up and running. I’m still working on it. I’ve definitely got a lot on my plate right now. But I’m done with the Fall cleaning so that frees up some time. I have lots in store for this place. And I will catch up on ALL of your blogs! I promise!

  1. Looks like a nice box of items from birch box. I’ve wanted to try Jouer products for a while, especially their lip products. I have an ice cream maker that my mom gave me. Same as you, I’m sure she thought it was a good purchase at the time. I haven’t used it yet.

  2. I have been on the fence about Birchbox, I think US and UK Birchbox are okay but Canada is just bleh! And don’t you worry about blogging, some time real life happens, we just get busy. It has been the same for me too, Summer break is over and all hell broke loose. LOL!

    • Ahh that it does! I just feel horrible because I was doing good with my plans and tons of posts. Before I knew it I was behind. How does that happen? Hahaha! I suppose it is the busiest time of year!

Too bad that Canadian Birchbox isn’t good. I think I heard a few people mention that. Sometimes US Birchbox can suck too lol.
