Swatch: Illamasqua Speckle Nail Varnish

Illamasqua Speckle Nail Varnish is my very first Illamasqua nail polish. Illamasqua’s new speckled nail polishes really jumped out at me. They’re so pretty and absolutely PERFECT for Spring! Speckle is the prettiest lilac shade with little specks of glitter. It applied perfectly with no streaking. Honestly, I’d have to say that this polish applied nicer than any other polish I own. It even looked pretty with a single coat! However, it looks much nicer with the second coat. It lasted a good long week before it started chipping. I heard lots of other people got longer wear time, but I’m very active with my hands so a week is actually VERY good for me. I can’t even tell you how many compliments I got wearing this out. Everyone kept saying it looked like bird’s eggs and gushed over how cute it was.

Falafel - This recipe has been my go-to falafel recipe for years! I make very few changes. First, I cut the recipe in half so that I don't have waste. Last, I only use garbanzo beans. To serve, I layer homemade tzatziki sauce, halved falafel balls, diced cucumber/tomato/onion, and shredded lettuce on a flour tortilla. Then I wrap it up like a burrito and slice in half. I store the reamining cooked falafel in an airtight container in the fridge for easy lunches throughout the week. I reheat falafel on a skillet lightly coated with cooking spray or oil.
