Swatches: Greystone, Maldives Luminescent

I know it’s a little weird to post a May subscription box in June, but as I’ve mentioned before I’m really behind. If you think this is bad, wait until next week. I have a Valentine’s Day collection post set to go live. I wish I could say I was kidding. I’ve made progress on the pile that was taking over my desk though. I even did a bit of decluttering. That alone was a lot of work. It’s always sad parting with products, but if it’s something I just know I won’t reach for often I see no point in letting it go to waste. Especially when someone else can show it some love. Anyway, let’s talk about last month’s Play! by Sephora Box!

First up is the trèStiQue Highlight & Perfect Multipurpose Stick in Maldives Luminescent. This shimmering champagne pink highlighter comes in a convenient stick form. I’ve tried a concealer stick from the brand and love it! I’m sure I’ll love this pretty highlighter too.

I was pretty excited to try something from NUDESTIX, but I don’t think I’m feeling the NUDESTIX Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Greystone. I’m all for a pretty greige, but this looks more brown than anything. I’ll be adding this to my declutter bag.

I didn’t have a lot of luck with the last essence I tried. But I suppose it couldn’t hurt to give the belif Hungarian Water Essence a try. It’s an instant, lightweight, recharger serum that is said to provide deep, lasting hydration.

The Skin Laundry Gentle Foaming Face Wash is a gentle foaming cleanser with soothing cucumber and chamomile extracts. It’s suitable for all skin types. Nothing too exciting, but I do like the packaging.

I love getting hair masks in my boxes. The Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask sounds wonderful, but I’m not digging the scent. It smells like a medicine cabinet. Not something I want my hair to smell like after hopping out of the shower/bath.

Aside from the highlighter, the only other item that I know will get use is the Tocca Stella. I just know I’ve received a few perfume samples from Tocca in the past, but I don’t mind. Stella is a wonderfully fresh scent. The blood orange is so refreshing! I added this to my loves list and plan to purchase the full size.

I’m really hoping for a better box this month. I want to try something new and exciting!

  2. I don’t mind that nudesticks hue. Though I know that shade would look terrible on me.
