Swatches: Rose Gold, Pin Up Pink

This month my box arrived before I got the chance to do my usual sneak peek (again). And you know what? I’m really liking it. I was so surprised and happy to see what was inside. I think I’ll skip the sneak peeks from now on.

Let’s start with the COVER FX Illuminating Primer. I haven’t tried too much from the brand. I don’t know what more to say other than it’s a silicone-free primer and I can totally get some use out of it. I’ll have to test it out soon.

I think I’m most excited about the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. It’s a gel cream that’s suitable for all skin types. Even the most sensitive. It claims to intensely moisturize and calm dehydrated and irritated skin. It also claims to be rich in Vinolevure to strengthen skin so that it becomes less sensitive and more resilient over time. It also contains chamomile to calm redness and irritation. I’ve got some pretty sensitive skin so I’m looking forward to seeing how these claims hold up. I’ve used it a few times already and so far I’m liking it. It does have a nice gel-like texture which I like because I feel like I don’t have to use as much product. A little goes a long way. I feel like it moisturizes much better than some of my other moisturizers. I don’t notice much of a scent which is a huge plus. On the days that I have worn it I do notice that my skin is more evened out and not nearly as red. However, it doesn’t completely eliminate the redness. I’m curious to see how it will work out when used over time. It even played nice with my super sensitive skin! I’m definitely purchasing the full size!

I’ve heard lots about Glamglow, but haven’t tried anything from the brand yet. I can’t wait to try the GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD™ Hydrating Treatment. It’s a non-drying hydration mask that delivers instant extreme moisture. Here’s to hoping it gets along with my sensitive skin. I love the blue packaging!

I received the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in the shade Rose Gold. It’s described as a rosy gold shimmer. It’s so pretty! This eyeshadow stick can also line and highlight. I bet this beautiful rose gold shade would make for a gorgeous highlight! I’ll totally be working this into a look soon!

I received the SEPHORA COLLECTION Ultra Shine Lip Gel in the shade Pin Up Pink. Which is a pretty pink with a high shine finish. I’m not much into lip gloss, but I’ll still give it a try.

I’m so excited that this month’s fragrance is a nice one. The MAISON MARGIELA ’REPLICA’ Lipstick On smells so nice! It’s very soft and powdery. I also like the look of the full sized bottle. I totally added this to my wishlist!

There you have it! I’m really loving this month’s box. I think this is my favorite one yet!

  2. I would definitely have preferred to discover the Caudalie moisturizer rather than the teeny tiny Estee Edit makeup remover I got in my box… But still, nothing here is really new or trending, so it’s not what I was hoping for from a Sephora box. I think the first few boxes I got where focusing on new or “hype” products more and that was a lot more exciting for me. Hopefully they’ll make a great Holiday edition next month!

    • Yeah I don’t think I’d care much for the makeup remover either. I know it might not be new or trending, but if it’s something I can use I’m good. I hope next month is a better one for you!

  7. Whoa. This is an amazing box this month! Sooo many good brands and products, I am really impressed. I go back and forth between boxes where I more discover new brands, and then boxes with brands that I love and are usually a hit. The bag everything came in is super cute too. I would totally re-use it!
