Oh how I love a good face mask! I so wish I could get in on that sheet mask trend, but almost every one I’ve tried has caused a bad reaction. Thankfully, the regular old face masks have never done me wrong. And it’s a good thing too because there’s just something so relaxing about sitting in a hot bubble bath, face covered in your favorite face mask, hot cup of tea in hand, and a few candles to set the mood. One might think I’m a very relaxed person. But I’m the opposite. I’m a mess. But I sure do know how to pamper myself! So when these beautiful new masks from The Body Shop landed on my doorstep, I just couldn’t wait to give them a try!
British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask $28.00 – 100% Vegan British Rose Fresh Pluming Mask is a refreshing gel-textured mask that nourishes and hydrates your skin.
This is the first mask I tried. I can’t resist rose scented things. And this mask smells just like roses! But it’s not an overwhelming scent. It has a gel-like texture, but wasn’t messy to apply. I left the mask on for 10 minutes and washed it off. It didn’t cause any irritation. It left my skin feeling smooth and even gave me a bit of a glow. I think it even helped with some of the redness on my cheeks a bit because after a few minutes when I went to check on my skin it was pretty evened out. My cheeks were a little pink, but definitely not red.
Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask $28.00 – 100% Vegan Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is a beautifying mud-textured exfoliating mask.
This mask is a little messier to work with, but it’s not so bad. It has a thick mud-like texture. When I applied it I noticed a bit of a cooling sensation. It was nice and refreshing. I only left this mask on for 5 minutes because it dried down rather quickly. Washing it off is where it gets messy. It gently exfoliated my skin leaving it feeling incredibly smooth. After 2 uses I have noticed way fewer blackheads around my nose. Scent-wise, it smells really nice. It kind of reminds me of Noxzema.
Chinese Ginseng And Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask $28.00 – The Chinese Ginseng And Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask is a creamy, facial exfoliating mask that brightens and revitalizes skin.
This mask has a really nice airy/whipped texture. I left this one on for 10 minutes and it never felt super dry or tightening. It gently exfoliated my skin and left it feeling super soft and clean. My skin felt so refreshed after using this mask. Scent-wise it was similar to the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, but lighter.
These are some really amazing masks! If I had to choose a favorite I’d have to go with the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. The other 2 are just as awesome, but I feel that I got more from this mask. All of them gently exfoliated my skin without causing any irritation. The packaging is also really nice. They all come in glass jars which could probably be reused once they’re empty. I also like that they come in single-use packets ($2.50). I’ll probably buy a few when I indulge in some of their holiday goodies. They have a British Rose Deluxe Gift Set that has my name all over it!
Have you tried any of these masks? What’s your favorite mask?
The rose mask looks very inviting, but having oily skin the charcoal one would probably be the best for me.

Same here! I’ve got quite the collection going these days lol. :)
These sounds lovely! I still have yet to try anything from The Body Shop. One of my pet peeves is messy masks though haha. I just hate all the mess. Sometimes they can definitely be worth it, and I think I am most drawn to the Himalayan mask myself. :)

Oh this one is definitely worth it. I’ve only tried a few items from the brand, but so far I’m really loving everything. I’ll have to experiment more for sure. :)
They currently have a duo set with the British Rose and the Himalayan Charcoal one for $38. Plus, I’ve got a 50% off coupon and their membership card. So what I’m saying is: I’m gonna get me that set and thanks for reviewing these! :D Haha, Noxzema – now that’s a brand I haven’t heard of in a while.

I know hahaha! When I smelled it I recognized the scent, but couldn’t put my finger on it. Then it came to me. And that sounds like it would be a pretty great deal with all of those savings! :)
These sound great but the Rose one above all interests me the most. I like rose scented things too!

Omg these masks sound awesome! Body shop is seriously kicking up their skincare game. I love the idea of the ginseng and rice mask– it sounds similar to some kbeauty masks but a lot more accessible! Thanks for the recs :)

They really are pretty awesome! Thanks for stopping by, Mili! :)
Oh you don’t say. I’ve been wanting to try a sheet mask for ages but never been sure where to even start. I have sensitive skin so didn’t even think about how they would/could possibly react. I better do more research.

Yeah my skin is super sensitive. There are like 1 or 2 that worked nicely for me, but the majority have caused bad reactions. It’s definitely trial and error. Unless of course you know the exact ingredient that’s causing the reaction. :(
Hey! Nice post! I would love to try out the Himalayan Charcoal! My skin can do with some TLC! Thanks fkr this infomative post!
Thank you! Who couldn’t use a little pampering? :)
The himalayan masks sounds amazing. A little pampering at home with these masks :)
