Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

Swatches: Almond Truffle, Satin Sheets, Sprinkles, Molasses Chip, Malted

Swatches: Cashew Chew, Cotton Candy, Cafe Au Lait, Bordeaux, Mocha, Black Currant

Swatches: Dark Truffle, Pecan Praline, Totally Fetch, Earl Grey, Divinity

I have to admit that I mostly bought this for the packaging. Pink. Hearts. Yeah, it just had my name written all over it. That and I love the chocolate bar palettes. Even though they’re all fairly similar. I probably could have skipped this one and wouldn’t have missed much, but it’s just so darn cute!

This palette contains some really nice neutrals with a few brighter shades in both matte and shimmer finishes. I like that this palette contains a few more colorful shades. The Totally Fetch shade isn’t as nice as the one from my Pretty Rebel palette. The Pretty Rebel version was so buttery smooth and pigmented. This one is on the chalkier side and not nearly as pigmented. It looks much nicer and more pigmented over primer, but with the Pretty Rebel version I didn’t have to work so hard to achieve such results. The rest of the shadows were really nice though. Not that Totally Fetch isn’t nice. It’s just not AS nice as the Pretty Rebel version.

You can see a look I created with this beauty below.

  1. I have seen a few bloggers gushing about this palette but never bought it for myself. Not sure if I need another palette but hey, what harm can it do, eh? ;-)

  2. I wan this palette so much, but I was told not to buy it by a friend (because my birthday) is coming up. So I will resist. It looks so cute and I love the Earl Grey shade. I spoke with some of the gals over at Too Faced recently and they said this was their favorite palette from the Chocolate Bar range.

    • Oh wow that’s super nice of your friend! And what an amazing present that would be. I can see why it would be their favorite. It’s just so cute! I bet you’ll do amazing things with it.

  3. This palette looks gorgeous and one of the most raved about from this range :) I would love to try it…you makeup looks gorgeous.

  4. Hm, not too keen on palettes, and I have to admit the packaging is “too girly” for me. The only thing tempting me is the smell of chocolate. But it is a big temptation, that one.

    • If this were going back a few years I’d agree with you on the girly comment. But now I need all things pink and hearts. I dunno what happened?

  5. I can see why you caved and bought this pallette. Both the colors and packaging look delicious!

  9. I have an Ulta gift card that I got for Christmas and I actually wanted to get this palette with it but I am still on the fence. I don’t have any other Too Faced Chocolate palettes (I do have a Pretty Rebel one though).

Your look is stunning and the photos are so pretty! What kind of light do you use for your face shots?

    • Thank you, Agata! They have a new Peach one coming out soon so maybe hold out? It could be better? I’ll be getting that one too lol.

I use a light ring. Here’s a link to the one I got: I also use an external flash. But the light ring really has helped me so much. I even use it for my product photos. The tripod that its attached to is very bendy which helps me to get the light right where I need it most.

  10. It’s really, really cute, but I didn’t feel like I needed this palette. I already have a lot of neutrals, and hot pink or navy blue aren’t colors I like to wear much. The look you did with it is so beautiful, which shades did you use?
I think I’ll get the Peach palette will be launching for summer though!

    • I hear you! Sometimes it’s just so hard for me to resist cute things. I used Black Currant, Mocha, Bordeaux, and Divinity.

I can’t wait for that one too! I hear it even smells like peaches!

      And thank you! :)

  11. It’s adorable for sure… that’s how TF gets me with their products. Cruelty free and cute = good, but the price? Ach. Horrible. This is a very cute palette, but I can’t justify ever buying it, unfortunately!

I love the look you made with it, though. =) Great lipstick, which one is it?

    • Yeah they can definitely be a little pricey, but you do get a nice variety of shades.

Thank you, Zovesta! It’s Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Heathers.
