Purchased By Me
I purchased this beautiful palette around the same time I moved. I ended up digging into it before I got around to taking proper pictures so please excuse me. I really hate doing that, but sometimes I really can’t contain myself. Oops?
What’s not to love about this palette? First of all, it smells heavenly! It smells like sweet, delicious cocoa. I can’t help but smell it whenever I open it. Is that weird? Well, it smells darn good!
The shadows are nicely pigmented. They applied and blended nicely. I had some problems with the first chocolate bar palette, but I didn’t have any issues with this one. Well, my only real issue was with the Blueberry Swirl shade. I was really hoping for a more vibrant blue. Something that would just POP out of all those neutrals. But instead it just sort of blended in. Aside from that it really is perfection. Or close to perfection at least. And it’s just so darn cute! I really do love whole chocolate bar theme.
Below you can see a look I created with this palette. I really think it produces the most perfect neutral look. And you can see what I mean about Blueberry Swirl just sort of blending in. I have it applied on my lower lash line. It sort of looks like a gunmetal grey rather than a blueberry anything.
Overall I really do love this palette. It definitely met my expectations and then some. I even kind of dig the Pink Sugar shade that no one else seemed to care for. While I agree it could be more pigmented, I kind of think the name fits. Pink Sugar doesn’t exactly sound like a vibrant pink shade (to me anyway). It seems like it would be sheer and glittery. Well done, Too Faced! Well done!
Wow this looks amazing – I’m such a chocoholic so would definitely love this palette x

Doesn’t it? Chocoholics unite! :)
It is a beautiful palette and I am glad you like it but since I already have more neutral palettes than I need, I skipped this one. I absolutely love this look you created! And I agree, on the Blueberry Swirl, it would be nice if it was more vibrant.

Thank you, Agata! I nearly skipped too for the same reason. But things happen lol.
I keep going back and forth on this one. And then I read a post like this and the process starts all over, hehe. It’s such a beauty! But I see what you mean about Blueberry Swirl, I would have thought it would have been brighter as well.

Yes! That’s how I was. Especially since I had a bad experience with the first one which is odd because everyone really seemed to love it. I think maybe I just got a bad batch or something? But I really do love this one. And it truly would have been perfect had that Blueberry Swirl been more vibrant.
Not a huge fan of the colors in this one. I like the dark chocolate one better. But the packaging is just to die for!

I agree the packing really is great!
