Updated makeup storage: Part 2

My shiny pink tool box is where I store most of my makeup. I store all of my lip products in the smaller tool box. The larger tool box will be reorganized soon. Some of the drawers are a little too crowded and I’d like to space some of the products out a bit more. The plan is to use the top drawer of the larger tool box for extra lip storage. And use the remaining 4 drawers for eye products. Then transfer all of my face products to a few of the Alex drawers. I really like the way the tool box and tray inserts hold my lip and eye products. I also saw some really nice trays for the Alex drawers that would hold my face products perfectly! But… this is how I have it set up now. I didn’t include a photo of the bottom drawer because there’s nothing interesting in there. At the moment it’s just wasted space (Play! By Sephora bags, backups, decorative boxes, etc.). I’ll eventually move my larger eyeshadow palettes into that drawer because it seems like it would be a better fit.

Drawer #4 | Eye products, larger palettes

Both of my tool boxes came with matching pink liners. I got the tray organizers separately. Sears is one of the only places I’ve seen them. It’s also the cheapest. They fit inside the smaller tool box perfectly. There’s a bit of a gap in the larger tool box, but it’s not a problem for me. I still make use of the extra space as much as I can. While being extra careful not to make it look cluttered.

You can read more about how I organize my lipstick here. I like to label swatch them so that I can easily find what I want. Obviously I don’t have to label the liquid lipsticks or lip glosses, but it works wonders for the regular lipsticks.

There you have it! I’ll probably end up doing another update once I reorganize everything. It was a little hectic when my storage expanded over Christmas. I wasn’t sure what to do. But now that I have everything set up I have a better idea on how I want to reorganize it all.

    • Thank you, Lulle! I saw a lot of people placing them upside down so that they could read the name, but that was too much trouble for me. For the most part I can figure out what’s what judging by the swatch.

  15. How beautifully and neatly arranged! And what an amazing collection of makeup you have! Love the pink colour of the organiser, I should get it in my life!
