Swatch

I could’t wait to find these Color Icon Ombre Blushes in the store because I wanted to try one so bad. Don’t they look so pretty? I chose the shade The Princess Daiquiries which is a really pretty pink/peach. Unfortunately that’s where the fun stops. It’s so powdery that it doesn’t stick to your skin. The only reason it even showed up in my swatch is because I packed it on and really really pressed it into my hand. I had to keep rubbing it back and forth in hopes of some of it sticking. Sadly that technique doesn’t work so well with a blush brush. As you can tell from my face swatch it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing blush at all! And believe me when I tell you, I packed that sucker on! You’d never know it though.

I’ll have to file this beauty under dud. Which is too bad because it really does look so pretty!

  1. That’s a real shame because they are so pretty in the pan! Similar to Kevyn Aucoin Neo Brozers xx

  2. It looks so pretty in the packaging, but I definitely can tell by the look of your swatch that it’s pretty powdery!

  3. The palette looks gorgeous though! Maybe if there are other colors, that may show up better on you! :)

    • It does! But I’m a little worried the others might be just as powdery. I’m thinking I’m going to stay away from this product all together. Their regular blushes are pretty nice though!

  4. Hope it worked better..the color looks beautiful in the pan…

  5. Last week I was trying to hunt down the cushion bronzer and highlighter and I finally did. I saw these blushes and I almost picked one up. Now I am glad that I talked myself out of it!

    • Yeah I definitely don’t recommend this and it seems so many agree with me. I wish I had looked up more reviews before buying it, but knowing me I would have gotten it anyway. I like to see for myself lol. How do you like the cushions? I’m loving them!

  6. Lisa first and foremost you look stunning <3 I am a WnW junkie and thank you for saving my money. It looks so pretty on the pan thou :(

  7. This looks so pretty in pan that i would love to buy it just for that :)

  8. Oh, that’s a shame. They looked so promising. And Wet n Wild usually does do a good job with blushes. I haven’t checked out the drugstore in a long while but hopefully I can see what’s new next time I’m state-side/

At first I thought the swatch on your hand was from one swipe! Wow, you packed that on and it’s still kind of thin and pale. Can’t imagine how much you had to pack on on your cheek for it to show up in pictures. Money saved. ^_^

  12. Oh no! I was so excited when I saw how this shade looked in the pan, but it makes for such a disappointing swatch. :(
