Swatch

Hey look! It’s a photo of me without my hand by my head! All jokes aside, back when I posted about the Wet n Wild Goth-O-Graphic Collection I mentioned that there was just one winner out of the entire collection. That was the MegaGlo Loose Highlighting Powder in Moon Tears.

I was really disappointed with that collection. I was excited when it first launched, but that all changed once I had the chance to test the products. I ended up setting Moon Tears aside to test further and never really got around to it. One day while getting ready for work I looked around my vanity for a subtle highlighter and spotted Moon Tears. I thought to myself ‘Why not?’

I still really love the packaging. The skull on the cover is pretty cool. The highlighter itself is beautiful! It was subtle enough to wear to work, but stood out enough to show in my photo. After the first few uses I just sort of kept it in rotation. It complimented one of my favorite go-to looks, but most importantly it lasted my entire shift. So I decided to keep it in rotation. At least for a little while. You can see the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Loose Highlighting Powder in Moon Tears in action below.

Overall, I still say this was the winner of that collection. I wish I had purchased just Moon Tears instead of wasting $39.99 for the entire set, but what’s done is done and I’ve learned from my mistake. However, I’m glad that I at least got use out of one of the products.

  1. I think that Wet n Wild is a little overhyped. A lot of their products are not that great if you ask me… I got a liquid eyeshadow from this collection and it’s just okay, and a pressed highlighter that’s quite pretty, although not a very wearable shade. I know from experience that I hate their eyeliners and metallic liquid lipsticks!

    • I’m with you on the rest of this collection. I’ve tried some of their first released metallic lipsticks and really liked them. Some of their mattes are good too. But I feel like their newer releases are different quality. It’s not what I remember.

  2. I haven’t tried much Wet n Wild products. Sorry, the collection didn’t work out. This loose highlighter does look pretty.

  3. Wet n wild products are hit or miss most of the time… The highlighted does look pretty and I was hoping it would perform better…

    • Yes I agree with you. Sorry the highlighter wasn’t what you were expecting. At least for me it turned out to be a winner. Which is good news considering the rest of the collection was useless to me. :(
