I grabbed this Wet n Wild palette last month when I did my couponing at the drugstore. I heard lots of people talking about the new Wet n Wild Pop Art Craze Collection and had to see what the fuss was all about. I was lucky enough that my local drugstore had them in stock (yes, every single one) as I’ve heard many other people weren’t so lucky. These guys sold out fast. And honestly I can see why. For just $2.99 you get a cute little trio in some really colorful shades.
I heard lots of people had trouble opening their palettes, but I didn’t experience any problems with this one. I was already half expecting to pry this sucker open, but it played nice. Hulking out wasn’t necessary. I really love how this palette swatched on my hand, but it was difficult trying to achieve the same pigmentation on my lids. I used a white shadow as a base and with lots of packing and LOTS of patience I was able to achieve the look I was going for. The shadows were pretty chalky and I experienced a lot of fallout from all the packing. However, the end result was quite nice. I do wish that yellow shade had shown up a little better though (mid lid). I ended up wearing this for about 5 or so hours and it looked about the same when I went to wipe it off.
Overall, it’s not bad for $2.99. They’re fun summery shades and so long as you’ve got the patience and time I think you could create some fun looks with them. You can see a look I created with Your 15 Minutes Aren’t Up! below.
