I’m slowly, but surely trying to get back into a routine. After everything that’s happened I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. I’m trying to just take it one day at a time. I’m still feeling upset about my hair. I really am trying to look at the bright side. Once a week I go to get my hair deep conditioned, my color refreshed, and I walk out looking like me again. I’m grateful for that. I truly am. But in between appointments when I wash my own hair and I see it crunch back up again, I can’t help but feel sad. And when I see my frail hair breaking off my anxiety kicks in and I wonder how much longer I have to deal with this. I feel like an annoyance when I constantly ask how much longer my hair is going to be like this, but I guess that’s anxiety for you. You constantly need to be reassured. Even though I’m told it will be a while before my hair looks and feels like normal hair again, I wonder if that’s even true. I feel like it’s going to be like this until it grows out and I can cut off the frail bits.
Anyway, last week I talked about my latest ColourPop order. I just had to get my hands on the Pressed Powder Shadow Palette in It’s My Pleasure and Sweet Talk. Had I not laid my eyes on Sweet Talk I probably could have stayed away from ColourPop for a while. But this palette really caught my eye. It’s so pretty and absolutely perfect for Spring!
The Pressed Powder Shadow Palette in Sweet Talk contains 12 eyeshadows in 4 different formulas! It includes their pressed powder, pressed pigment, pressed glitter, and super shock shadow! I’m really digging the variety here. There is a nice combination of transition shades and some really pretty sparkly lid shades. I appreciate the addition of a base shade. I love using those types on my brow bone. The shadows all applied and blended beautifully. Apparently a few shades aren’t meant to be used in the eye area. I probably wouldn’t put the glitters near my eye anyway as they were quite chunky. The pigments didn’t cause any irritation though and my eyes can be pretty sensitive. You can see a look I created with the Pressed Powder Shadow Palette in Sweet Talk below.
Overall, I’d have to say that I really love this palette. I have no clue how I’ll use the pressed glitters, but the rest of the shadows are just gorgeous and will get lots of use. I wouldn’t say it’s a must have since a few of these can’t even be applied near your eyes. I’m pretty sure I even have a few of these shades in other ColourPop palettes and you might too. Or at least it seems that way since they all start to look the same at some point. I really do need to lay off the palettes for a while, but Sweet Talk was just too pretty to pass up. Even the packaging is pretty!
Did you purchase anything from ColourPop’s Spring collection? How would you use the pressed glitters?
