Swatches: Dry, Wet

I stopped by my local Sephora last weekend to see if they had any of the new Kat Von D goodies. I was surprised to see that they did have a few items in stock. They had like 2 of the new Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and 5 of these Metal Crush Eyeshadows. When I didn’t find any of the lipsticks I was looking for I continued around the end cap and saw the Metal Crush Eyeshadows. I was so drawn to Iggy. It really stands out! It’s one of the most beautiful green eyeshadows I’ve ever seen!

Iggy is described as a pearlescent mermaid green. It’s soft and glides on effortlessly. And the pigmentation is crazy! Seriously, those swatches are just ONE swipe! I’m not really sure what I was expecting, but this eyeshadow definitely surprised me. I only purchased the one shade so that I could test it out. Now I have to go back and purchase a few more. I’m pretty sure I need Raw Powder, Danzig, and Synergy in my life.

There’s not much else to say about it. It’s gorgeous! I love it! And you can see it in action below! I’m wearing it on my lower lash line (wet with a little MAC Fix+).

The moment the new Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks went live on Sephora’s website I scooped up this lipstick. It’s a good thing I acted fast because Bow N Arrow continues to sell out as soon as it restocks. Yikes! And I can totally see why. It’s easily one of the prettiest nudes!

Bow N Arrow is described as a fawn nude, long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish. Right away I noticed how fast it set. I was still able to smooth it out so that it applied evenly so it’s all good. Once it set I was so happy with how it looked. It’s gorgeous! My only issue is that it doesn’t last nearly as long as the other Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks I own. I got about 5-6 hours of wear time before it very noticeably faded. Just after eating actually. It was still lingering around, but faintly. It was a little drying, but not overly so. It’s a fairly comfortable lipstick.

I’ve got a few nudes that I love, but this shade is perfection! So I really don’t mind prepping my lips again and reapplying after meals. Bow N Arrow just might be my new go-to nude.

So you’ve heard all about Jeffree, now it’s time to move onto Berlin. Berlin is described as a warm rose, long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish. I absolutely LOVE this shade! It’s more vibrant than I expected it to be. But it’s still super pretty and such a Summer friendly shade! I did find this shade to be a little on the tacky side which resulted in some visible wear during eating/drinking. I wouldn’t say this shade felt smooth, but it was still a fairly comfortable wear. Jeffree and L.U.V. set completely leaving me with a nice smooth finish. Berlin not so much. On the plus side it didn’t dry out my lips much. So you know, there’s that.

I definitely would have preferred it to be like Jeffree and L.U.V. because what I love about those shades is that they stay put! However, I DO love the shade so it’s not all bad news. I can always touch up as needed and be on my way. You can see Berlin in action below.

I’m sorry that this post is so late. I thought that I had this post ready to go, but somehow it didn’t save. I guess that’s what happens when you have one sangria too many? Oops? I’ve been doing great keeping to my schedule and I promise to keep up with it this time. I actually have the next 2 weeks worth of posts ready to go. But I hadn’t tested Berlin yet so I had to write it up over the weekend. I usually write notes on my iPhone as I’m testing something and then transfer everything into WordPress. Somehow this one got away.

Well, I hope y’all had a great weekend!
