Sugarpill Feline Fancy Makeup Collection

Swatches (Left – Right): Strange Love, S.W.A.K., Wink, Text Me, Kiss Kiss
My husband and I don’t usually celebrate Valentine’s Day. Or should I say HE doesn’t. He’s very against holidays and always felt that we should celebrate EVERY day and not just the one day a year. I totally see his point, but that doesn’t stop me from decorating our home with pink, red, white, hearts, and a crapton of glitter! I also make it a point to make some sweets for my sweets. And then I treat myself to something pretty. The problem? This year I had a hard time deciding which Valentine’s Day themed collection I wanted the most. My husband ended up getting them all, but the Feline Fancy Makeup Collection was the one I had settled on. I thought it was the prettiest. And the packaging is super cute!
This isn’t my first time experimenting with Sugarpill. I purchased the Sweetheart Eyeshadow Palette a while back. I don’t use it too often because let’s face it, that hot pink wasn’t doing me any favors. And seriously WHAT was I thinking? Yikes! The Feline Fancy Makeup Collection looked like it would make for a more wearable look. Well, wearable for me anyway. And it really did!

The Feline Fancy Makeup Collection includes a palette and a liquid lipstick. The packaging features artwork by Brandi Milne. It’s so cute that I currently have it displayed on top of my tool box. The eyeshadows included in the palette are S.W.A.K. which is a foiled rose petal pink with gold duochrome. Wink which is a foiled soft baby pink champagne (this shade doubles as a highlighter). Text Me which is a warm matte brown. And Kiss Kiss which is a vibrant foiled red. Strange Love is a deep metallic oxblood red with sparkle.

I found the shadows to be really soft and buttery. As you can tell from the swatches they’re also very pigmented. They applied and blended beautifully! Don’t let Kiss Kiss fool you! You can totally play it down a bit and end up with a nice wearable look! I’ve seen some amazing things being done with this palette. The looks I’ve seen are so bold and stunning! I chose to tone it down a bit, but you could just as easily create some gorgeous bold looks.

Strange Love really surprised me. This lipstick is one of the reasons I couldn’t decide on which Valentine’s Day collection to go with. While I was totally sold on the palette itself, I wasn’t sure how much use the lipstick would get. That is until I tried it for myself. First of all, it really does smell like a creamsicle! Which is different from all of the vanilla scented lipsticks I have in my collection. I love it and prefer this scent over the vanilla or any other scent! It applied nice and evenly. But if you have dry or chapped lips, you’ll want to prep your lips well before application. Because this will settle! I tested it during an outing and it held up really well with food and drink. For the most part it was transfer-proof. It lasted throughout the day, but started to noticeably fade around 6 or so hours. By that point it started to get a little patchy. I didn’t find it to be drying. It wasn’t lightweight, but it still made for a nice comfortable wear.
This is easily my favorite Valentine’s Day collection. The artwork is adorable. The quality of the shadows is great and the lipstick has quickly become a new favorite! Another plus is that it was released just in time for Valentine’s Day. Some of the other companies obviously didn’t take their processing and shipping time into consideration. Since I received those collections just 3 days before Valentine’s Day, I guess you can expect to hear about them later on this month. I still need to photograph, test, create and photograph looks for each of them.
You can see the Feline Fancy Makeup Collection in action below. I’m wearing everything in the collection including Wink as my highlighter.
