Swatch

I actually received the Too Faced La Creme Lip Cream in 9021Ohhh as a Christmas gift from a fellow beauty blogger a few years back. I’ve always meant to blog about it, but it kept getting pushed back with all of the new releases and life stuff. It’s just so beautiful that I had to share it with you all. Even if it is late.

It’s no secret that I favor liquid lipsticks. I know that not everyone is a fan because they can be drying. I’ve never experienced any issues with them (aside from a few that really are drying), but I have to admit that I sure do miss regular old tube lipsticks. I have a few drawers full of liquid lipsticks and find myself reaching for them more than anything. But the moment I reach for a tube I’m left wondering why I don’t show them more love.

The La Creme Lip Cream is actually my first Too Faced lip product. I have quite a few of their palettes and even a few face products, but I never tried any of their lipsticks. That is until I was gifted this beauty. 9021Ohhh is the most gorgeous shade of red. It’s nicely pigmented and you can probably tell from my swatch how creamy it is. It glided onto my lips effortlessly. It applied beautifully and made for the most comfortable wear. I did have to touch up a bit throughout the day, but my lips never felt dry. In fact they felt nicely moisturized.

You can see the Too Faced La Creme Lip Cream in 9021Ohhh below.

Overall, I’d have to say I was impressed. I love the packaging. I love the shade. And the formula is pretty great. I’d definitely buy another shade. I’ll have to see if I can swatch a few to find myself a nice nude. While I’m digging 9021Ohhh, I think it would be nice to have a nice every day nude to wear that is just as comfortable.

Have you tried any of the La Creme Lip Creams? Which one is your favorite?

Swatches: Cinnamon Bear, Hot Buttered Rum, Pumpkin Spice, Sugar Cookie

I may have treated myself to a few extras this holiday season. I usually stick to the essentials because it’s the perfect time of year to stock up on those items. But I couldn’t help myself. There are just so many cute sets and collections this year.

I have never tried any of the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks. I thought The Sweet Smell of Christmas set would be the perfect introduction. Not only is it cute and festive, but the set contains 4 mini lipsticks. This way I get to try a few different shades. And they are scented! The Sweet Smell of Christmas contains 4 mini Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks in the shades Cinnamon Bear, Hot Buttered Rum, Pumpkin Spice, and Sugar Cookie. I think for the most part they do smell like these items. Cinnamon Bear is my favorite. The smell reminds me of those cinnamon hearts you see on Valentine’s Day. It smells so good! The other lipsticks smell good too, but I find them to be more subtle.

I really like the way these applied. The formula wasn’t too thin or too thick. It was just right. They dried down pretty quickly so I had to work a little faster. I feel like they look a little dry on the lips, but they didn’t feel terribly dry. I wouldn’t say they felt lightweight, but it wasn’t uncomfortable either. I will say you have to make sure your lips are in good condition before application otherwise these will look pretty bad. The first time I tested these my lips were on the dry side and it made for a bad look. The second time around they looked much better. I guess the same could be said for most lipstick, but these were especially bad. So make sure you prep your lips well before use.

These are great holiday shades. You have a few nice nudes and a really nice bold shade. My favorites are Pumpkin Spice and Cinnamon Bear. The Sweet Smell of Christmas is a really cute set. I think it would make for a great gift or stocking stuffer.

Have you tried any of the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks? Does your head hurt from reading that long title? Hah!

When I first saw this palette I knew I was going to have to make it mine. Too Faced does this to me all too often. I’m sure I didn’t need another palette to add to my collection, but just look how cute it is! And it smells like peaches! I don’t have too many peachy shadows in my stash. Or at least that’s what I tell myself.

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette contains 18 eyeshadows. It’s a beautiful combination of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and purples. I absolutely love the corals! I don’t usually wear a lot of coral on my eyes, but it’s such a fun shade to experiment with. The shadows were nicely pigmented. I did have to swipe a few times for some of the swatches, but they built up nicely. They applied and blended beautifully. I did have issues with some of the darker shades. You can probably tell from the swatches alone. I mostly use those on my lower lash line so for me it’s really no big deal. But if you’re planning on using them on your lid or in your crease you might have a hard time blending those bad boys out. Delectable is actually much nicer on the lid than in the swatch. I’ll have to use it in a look later this week to show you what I mean.

Here’s a look I created with the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette. I definitely plan to post a few more later on. Also, please pardon my bare nails. I’ve been doing some baking this week and I never paint my nails when I plan to bake. I always feel naked when I post swatches with bare nails. Oops?
