Last year I talked about the Hask Macadamia Oil hair care collection. Today I will be talking about the Hask Bamboo Oil Strengthening collection. I was pretty excited about trying this collection as one of my favorite hair oils also contains bamboo extract. I was curious to know how the Hask Bamboo Oil collection would compare.
Here’s what Hask has to say about the Bamboo Oil collection: ‘Bamboo oil, known as one of Asiaโs natural treasures, is proven to strengthen hair and deliver essential nutrients that revive weakened and lifeless strands. Combined with biotin and collagen, silicon-rich bamboo oil gives hair a strong foundation, improves flexibility and prevents split ends. So damage caused by every day styling is a thing of the past!’
Sounds pretty good, huh? The Hask Bamboo Oil collection is also free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors. The brand is also fairly easily to track down. I’ve spotted their products at Target, Kmart, and Ulta. Speaking of the products… let’s dig in!
Let’s start with the shampoo and conditioner. Getting to the product was very easy as the bottles are fairly hassle free. The shampoo had a thick gel like texture and lathered up really nice. The conditioner is what surprised me. I remember the Hask Macadamia Oil not feeling very rich and moisturizing. This one was incredibly rich and moisturizing! I didn’t need to slather on extra for this effect either. I used the same amount I would any conditioner and it spread through my hair evenly and really worked through all of my hair leaving it feeling silky smooth. The shampoo and conditioner also contain a herbaceous lemongrass scent which initially smells like cleaning product, but after a few moments it smells a little floral. It’s actually very refreshing and I think I favor this scent over all of the others.
The Hask Bamboo Oil Strengthening Deep Conditioner is still my favorite product. It smells like the shampoo and conditioner, but a little stronger. I worked the Deep Conditioner through my hair and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and then rinsed. It’s so easy brushing my hair afterward. My hair is softer and smoother. It looks and feels so much healthier than before.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a huge fan of the Deep Conditioner and it’s a must have in my hair care routine. My mother-in-law recently asked if I could recommend a really good deep conditioner for her hair and I immediately suggested she try Hask. I have like a dozen packets sitting in my closet so I gave her one to try. She loved it! I recently found out that the Deep Conditioners are sold in larger sized tubes thanks to Lulle from beaumiroir.com. I’ll definitely be purchasing a few for me and the mother-in-law. The packets are great and I always get a few uses out of just one packet, but they aren’t resealable and that can sometimes be a hassle.
The Hask Bamboo Oil Strengthening Shine Oil is similar to the others by Hask. The oil comes in a thin tube with an easy to remove cap. I poured a little in the palm of my hand and rubbed together warming up the product and worked it through my damp hair. It smells just like the shampoo and conditioner, but more subtle. It didn’t feel heavy or greasy. It left my hair with a nice healthy looking shine.
I’m really impressed with the Hask Bamboo Oil Strengthening collection. I can honestly say that this stuff rivals my go to shampoo and conditioner. I’ll definitely be purchasing the Bamboo Oil Strengthening Deep Conditioner for both me and my mother-in-law, but in the larger sized tubes if I can find them. I’ll also purchase the Bamboo Oil Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner once I use up all 3 open bottles of shampoo and conditioner I currently have sitting in my bathroom. Oops! Well, done, Hask!
Good review! I know that oil is wonderful for the hair, but ugh .. I sometimes have a hard time putting oil in my nice clean hair .. lol.
Monica.
It took me a LONG time to get used to it, but if I skip oils I can definitely see a difference in my hair. I know the feeling though lol.
I’m glad you learned something useful from me! :p
This line sounds great, I haven’t tried it but it’s very tempting. I think I’d like the lemongrass scent a lot more than the sweet fruity scent of the other lines I’ve tried from Hask.

The oil is very nice. I use it regularly. :)
I feel you. I keep seeing products I want to try, but there is still so much hair care sitting in my drawers, unopened, that I just cant justify buying more stuff!

I’m really glad that this received positive reviews! I’ve seen their products in some stores, but was hesitant to pick them up. All hesitation is now gone! :)

That’s good! The first time I tried their products I was a little hesitant too. But then I fell in love. Those deep conditioners… :)
Bamboo oil? This is the first I am reading about it but I’ll hunt this range down in the future. I am currently up my arse with hair products so it’ll be a while before I buy anything but I love HASK. I’ve used the Argan Oil range which was really lovely.
