Swatches (Bottom – Top): Berry Recognize, Coral Corruption, Give Me Mocha, Missy and Fierce, Rebel Rose

I really liked the Wet n Wild Liquid Lipsticks that were released in the Autumn Lush Collection last year. So of course I’d search high and low for the new MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks. I had to go to quite a few different stores to get the shades I wanted. Back when I first got these I had only seen them in a handful of Walgreens stores. I’ve since spotted them at just about every Walgreens store I’ve visited and even Target. So if you haven’t gotten your hands on them yet try Walgreens and Target. And look everywhere! I’ve seen displays on the very top shelf far away from other cosmetics. Don’t forget to check the endcaps too!

I was lucky enough to pick some really nice shades. Coral Corruption is the only shade that had some issues. It really settles into lines and makes for a not so smooth look. It applied nicely and it’s a beautiful shade. But I’m not digging the settling. It’s just not a good look. The other shades applied perfectly. They applied nice and evenly and dried down pretty quickly. But not too quickly where you’d have to rush the application. They were a little drying, but no different from some of the other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. They’re tqransferproof and held up well with food and drink. The only negative for me would be the removal process. Holy hell these babies don’t want to budge! You’ll probably want to use an oil-based makeup remover to remove these. Using a makeup removing wipe will remove it… along with a layer of skin.

Overall, I really do love these. I know the shades might not be new or exciting and I’m sure we all have similar shades in our collection. But I do think they’re a great budget friendly option and one you can get at your local drugstore!

Kandee Johnson For SinfulColors

Swatches: Mint Chip, Kanfetti

I don’t post a whole lot of nail polish reviews around here. I almost always paint my toenails and sometimes paint my fingernails. But the thing is… if I’m being completely honest, I wouldn’t come to me for a nail swatch. It’s no secret that I’ve got nubs for fingernails. I sometimes let them grow a bit, but I’m just far too active to have long enough nails for decent swatches. It is what it is. So why am I posting about nail polish now? Well, you break the rules for Kandee Johnson!

When I saw this collection I just had to scoop up a few polishes. They’re all so pretty! The polishes shown above are Pink Velvet, Mint Chip, and Kanfetti. Pink Velvet is a rosy pink with golden sparkle and a sweet sugar-textured finish. Mint Chip is a pretty minty vintage green with a matte finish. Kanfetti is a fun pastel blue, pink, and green sparkling glitter. In my nail swatch I’m wearing one coat of Mint Chip topped with Kanfetti. Mint Chip applied beautifully. It was opaque with just the one coat. I didn’t experience any streaking either. I’m really impressed with how beautifully it applied. Kanfetti was a little tricky to work with. It’s so thick that it was difficult distributing the glitter onto the nail. I was really hoping to add more of that glitter to my nails, but it just wasn’t happening.

I really do think this is a beautiful collection. The colors are all fun, pretty, and everything I’d expect from a Kandee Johnson collab. The polishes were surprisingly very easy to work with. Well, all except for Kanfetti. I was just really hoping for lots and lots of sparkle!

There are 7 polishes in the collection and they’re $1.99 each. I’ve spotted displays at Walgreens and K-Mart.

Sky Organics

Sky Organics

I love a good DIY beauty project. So when Sky Organics sent me a DIY hair mask kit I was excited to give it a try. I was sent the Lavender Coconut Oil Hair Mask with Argan Oil kit. It comes with a 16.9 oz Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 4 oz 100% Pure Organic Argan Oil, and a 1 oz 100% Pure Organic Lavender Essential Oil. The kit also includes a very easy to follow recipe card.

The mask is ideal for dry, damaged, or color treated hair. The Coconut Oil is said to help with detangling, taming frizz, and protection from the sun while adding shine. Lavender Oil is known to help with stress and anxiety. When combined your hair is being treated with the Coconut Oil while the Lavender Oil helps you to relax. And that it does! The recipe calls for 2-4 tbsp of the Coconut Oil combined with 5 drops of the Lavender Oil. I only added 2 drops of the Lavender Oil, but it was just as relaxing. The directions say to apply from the middle of the shaft to the tips and comb through. Then wrap with a towel and let sit for 1/2 hour to 2 hours. I let it sit for an hour. Just enough time to watch an episode of one of your favorite shows. While sipping on some hot tea. Or wine. No one is judging! Then you wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and you’re left with soft, silky smooth hair! Afterward I applied a little of the Argan Oil onto my dampened hair. I didn’t find it to be heavy or greasy.

You can also use these products individually. Here are a few suggestions along with some of my own personal favorite uses for each of these products.

Sky Organics

Coconut Oil

  • cooking
  • baking
  • makeup remover
  • homemade lip balm
  • homemade lip scrub
  • mani/pedi treatment

Sky Organics

Lavender Essential Oil

  • add a few drops to your diffuser
  • add a nice scent to your homemade cleaning products
  • homemade bath bomb
  • homemade soap
  • insect repellent
  • headache relief

Sky Organics

Argan Oil

  • hair
  • nails
  • lip conditioner
  • moisturizer
  • makes a nice beard oil according to the husband

This was a really nice and convenient DIY. While you can easily find Coconut Oil anywhere, maybe even right in your kitchen (and probably a lot cheaper!), I do like the addition of the Lavender Oil. It’s therapeutic grade and doesn’t contain any chemicals or additives. I’m told that in order for an essential oil to be effective it has to be therapeutic grade. And a little really does go a long way. It’ll take me MONTHS to get through this bottle! I really do find the scent to be relaxing. I only add about 2 drops to my diffuser because anything more than that is a bit much for me. The Argan Oil is also a really nice sized bottle and it’ll probably last me the whole year. I’m also really digging their packaging. The products were really fun to photograph.

*I received these products complimentary. I was not paid or compensated in any way to write this review. All opinions are completely my own.
