IT Cosmetics recently came out with a brand new foundation. Meet the Confidence In A Foundation! This full coverage, oil-free matte foundation promises to be long wearing and weightless. It’s infused with ceramides, peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, and squalane. I really like their other foundations and most recently their Oil-Free CC Cream. So I just couldn’t wait to test this out.

As most of you already know I’m not big on full coverage foundations. I’m sure I could benefit from it, but I just hate the way most feel on my skin. Even the ones that claim to be weightless end up feeling so heavy. It’s just not something I feel comfortable wearing. They also tend to be really thick and can end up looking cakey if you aren’t careful. I’d rather just use a medium buildable coverage and if a few imperfections peek through so be it. I’d rather look imperfect and natural than have a ton of makeup caked on my face. So I was really curious to see how I’d get along with the IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation.

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation

There are 48 shades to choose from. It might be tricky finding your shade based on hand swatches alone, but I still swatched every shade I received in case you were curious as to what they look like. I suggest going to Ulta or Sephora and swatching them in person to find your perfect match. Usually their Light shades are a decent enough match, but this time I found that their Light Beige (125) was a better match for me.

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation

It’s on the thick side, but I didn’t find it to be so thick that I couldn’t blend it out easily. It does dry a little fast, but I didn’t have to rush through application. It builds up pretty nicely, but it can get a little cakey if you get too carried away or have any dry patches. The coverage is pretty amazing and looks surprisingly natural. It did an amazing job at evening out my redness. I would say it does feel pretty weightless so long as you don’t go too crazy layering. It felt really nice and made for a super comfortable wear. Overall, I’d have to say this foundation is a real winner. Honestly, wearing a full coverage foundation regularly is going to take me some getting used to. But I feel like the IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation will make the transition that much easier for me. It’s a really beautiful foundation. The only issue is finding that perfect shade. So far I feel like the Light Beige (125) is looking pretty good on me. But you really need to try these in person to find that perfect match. Because some of these light shades are definitely not light and more orange. Even some of the fair shades look a bit orange to me. Not really sure what’s up with that. Thankfully the Light Beige (125) blended out beautifully and ended up being a really nice match.

Have you tried the IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation? What is your current go-to foundation?

I swear IT Cosmetics makes the cutest brush sets! I can’t help but scream a little whenever one lands on my doorstep. I’m a very generous person. Whenever I get more than one of a single item I’ll happily share with a family member or friend. I’m ashamed to admit that it doesn’t apply to my IT Cosmetics Brushes. I probably have like 3 of the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection No 7 Brushes and refuse to part with them. Even though my first one has been washed dozens of times and is still as good as new. I’ll probably never even need the others. But I mean you never know.

IT Cosmetics Your Desert Island Must Haves

The IT Cosmetics Your Desert Island Must Haves Set contains:

  • Powder Brush
  • Contour Brush
  • Highlight Brush
  • Travel Makeup Bag

This 3-Piece Complexion Brush Set comes in the cutest palm tree printed travel makeup bag. It’s lightweight and easy to clean. I can see this working well for the beach or if you’re pool-side. The handles are a beautiful bronze shade and the brushes are just as soft as their other brushes. They claim their brushes deliver airbrushed results every time and as a fellow IT Cosmetics brush hoarder, I can tell you that it’s true. Their brushes are the only ones I can use on my sensitive skin. And they are cruelty free to boot!

Their brushes are usually very pricey so I feel the $35.00 price tag is a great deal. If you’re looking for a nice brush set I highly recommend trying one from IT Cosmetics. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

IT Cosmetics also included the cutest water bottle. These water bottles are so cool. They are lightweight and collapsible. It’s made from 100% food-grade silicone, is BPA and plastic free, is leakproof, can accommodate ice cubes as well as cold and hot beverages. They also donate 10% of the profits to The Rainforest Trust. I’m also digging the IT Cosmetics personalized lid. It’s a really nice touch. And I’m pretty sure I just found my new favorite water bottle!

IT Cosmetics has a new addition to their Your Skin But Better CC+ line. It now comes in an Oil-Free Matte formula! They also included a few different shades. They recently added 48 shades to their Bye Bye Under Eye line. So I’m hoping they will start rolling out more shades for their other products as well.

The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 comes in the prettiest packaging. It claims to deliver color-correcting full coverage for a poreless, natural-looking matte finish. It also claims not to crease or crack while reducing oil and shine for up to 12 hours. It’s infused with charcoal to detoxify, colloidal clay to absorb oil, tea tree extract to combat blemishes, with anti-aging serum made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and antioxidants.

I’ve been wearing the shade Light for the past week. Their Light shade has always been a fairly decent match. However, I can’t help but feel like this one is a lot darker than their other Light products. It was also very thick and creamy. I ended up thinning it out a bit with my moisturizer and in the end it worked out beautifully. I used my trusty Beauty Blender to apply it. It applied nicely and did a great job at evening things out. Including my redness. I did have to build up a bit around my cheeks, but it built up nicely. I will say that while I didn’t experience any issues with creasing, if you get too carried away with the building up it will crease and even start to look a little cakey. I would probably reach for this during good skin days and maybe opt for something else when I need that extra coverage. Thankfully that’s not something I have to worry about these days. This CC+ Cream has really been doing the trick.

I wouldn’t say it felt lightweight, but it did feel comfortable and more natural. I even feel like it looked more natural. It did start to break up around my nose and mouth after about 6 or so hours. But considering I wore this out during a heatwave (and my thinning it out) I’d say that’s still pretty good. I honestly don’t see this lasting 12 hours, but I would feel comfortable wearing this to work or a night out. I do want to note that I did set this with a powder afterward. I also used a setting spray. You can see the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte in the shade Light in action below.

I ended up loving this CC+ Cream. I love it more than the original. I love the way it felt on my skin. I love the way it looked. It didn’t irritate my super sensitive skin. And I’m very impressed with how well it evened out my skin. This has really come in handy during the warmer days given that it offers sun protection and helps control oil. The only downside might be finding a shade that will work for you.

Have you tried the new IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte? What foundation have you been wearing this Summer?
