Swatches: Queen Supreme, 714

More Jeffree Star goodies! I actually purchased both Queen Supreme and 714, but had to do away with 714 because that one just wasn’t doing me any favors. It looks amazing on everyone else. Hopefully it gets shown lots of love in its new home. Queen Supreme on the other hand is one hell of a keeper! At first I was a little hesitant because it’s definitely out of my comfort zone. But I really like to have fun with my makeup. And this is such a fun shade to work with. It’s so vibrant and beautiful!

Application was fairly easy. Because this is a bolder shade I dipped a lip brush onto the applicator and lined my lips before applying. Then I just filled it in using the applicator which wasn’t as pillowy soft as Celebrity Skin, but still made for a nice application. It felt fairly comfortable and lasted all day with little fading. And I can’t even tell you how many compliments I got while wearing this beauty. You can see it in action below.

  1. OMG!! I want to try this lipstick so bad! This is the second time this week I saw a post about it and I’m so completely over budget this month I have to wait. I had an accident today and bought the Too Faced Chocolate palette. Sigh….

I really really want to try these. Someone tested it and slept in the lipstick and after 24 hours it still look decent!!
    I fear the price.

    • Isn’t it like the most perfect pink? I have another shade (Celebrity Skin) and I seriously love them both! I really want to get one of the red shades too. I don’t know about the 24 hour thing, but it really does last a long time! I’d really like to see that post you’re referring to. I’m curious now lol.

And you are going to LOVE that Chocolate Bar palette! I saw that you got it and can’t wait to see what you do with it!

  2. I am on their site now, the price doesn’t look bad. I thought these ran like 80 USD….. Thus the reason I avoided the site. That way, I avoided an accident.

    • $80 for a lipstick??? Haha I should probably mention prices from now on. Oops? Price-wise it’s really no different than most of the liquid lipsticks out there. You know, I think if anyone could pull off 714 it’s you. You definitely rock them corals!

  3. gorgeous colors and amazing packaging. these are on my list to buy next!

  5. This is the first time I come across this brand but gosh, Queen Supreme is indeed a stunner and it compliments your fair skin so well! Shame about 714 though, the swatch looks great.

    • Thank you, Shireen! It’s a fairly new brand. I haven’t seen many blog reviews, but it’s certainly making its way around Instagram.

  6. Jaa

You totally rock this shade! Wow! It’s so pretty on you! I know for a fact that it will look totally ridiculous on me but I’ll definitely check out the other colors! :D

  7. Love that shade of lippie! Wow. I’m intrigued by these American brands.. need to get my hands on some of this stuff!

  8. Agree with Jaa, you totally rock the shade, hehe. :-) Very fun and pretty. I’ve never heard of Jeffree Star Cosmetics – is that strange? I’ll definitely Google it now. Always interested in a long wearing liquid lipstick that feels comfortable.

    • Thank you, Kimmy! :) Haha I don’t think it’s strange. Sometimes I read about brands and I feel like I should know about them, but I really don’t. But this company is fairly new. There are only a few lip products available, but from what I gather there is lots more to come. I really can’t wait.

  9. You look 100% beautiful!! Your eyeliner looks perfectly done, too. =o It’s a really flattering lip colour on you! Although I think 714 would have been awfully pretty, too…
But I have to ask – when wearing liquid lipstick, doesn’t it crack on you when you go from your mouth resting to it open?
Zovesta recently posted…FOTD: Going MagentaMy Profile

    • Awww thank you! :)

I really wasn’t feeling 714. I tried so hard to make it work for me. It really does look amazing on other people. Just not me. :(

I always prep my lips beforehand. I’m a lip biter so my lips are always dry and cracked. Bad habits. So I have to use a lip scrub before I wear ANY lip product. Especially anything matte. Then I apply a light layer of lip balm. It really does make for a more comfortable wear. But after a few hours certain liquid lipsticks can still feel drying. But I can’t say that my lips have ever cracked or anything dramatic.

      • That’s weird, then. I exfoliate, put a balm on, wait, line with lip liner, apply, hold my mouth open to dry, and the liquid lipstick still cracks on me in a very short time just by talking. =/ I’m so glad it works for other people, though!
